A recent page for the Artisan Notebook October Issue with theme of ‘traditions.’ Celebrating ½ birthdays has become a tradition with my kids………….they still love it!
Journaling-
We celebrate 1/2 birthdays in our family and it’s a tradition that began when my daughter started kindergarten and it has continued over the years. My kids both have summer birthdays and since they didn’t get to celebrate their actual ‘birthday’ during the school year we chose their 1/2 birthday date as the day to bring treats and enjoy a fun day and receive a small gift. Our little tradition continues today and they still look forward to a card and a small treat which when you are poor college students is usually a gift card toward some groceries or gas. They love any reason to celebrate and so our 1/2 birthday tradition is a fun day to look forward to.
