I recognize you in many of my own mannerisms now. I never particularly thought I looked like you but I guess I do - or at least I did. The one thing that is so much the same is our hands. I have no photos of yours, but I see them in mine. The way your fingers were shaped. The dryness of them. The way you held them. Our handwriting is even very similar. Now I see other things too. The way you pursed your lips when you were annoyed or upset. I can feel my own lips pursing in the same way! I wish I had inherited your temperament - although I always joked with you that it was your fault I worked so many hours because you instilled your work ethic in all of us. But I have Dad’s fiery temper. I also wish I had inherited your good cooking skills and your way of saving money and being so frugal. Lastly, I inherited something you spoke of so often... missing your mother after she was gone.
