Font is DJBErinscript by Darcy Baldwin. Journaling reads: This photo reminds me of a treasured photo I took of Mom in her garden many years ago. I inherited her passion for “all things growing” and it has always brought me a great deal of joy. In the early days I planted gardens mostly for vegetables, but as you kids grew up and moved away I began to plant only flowers. To me there are no more beautiful flowers than the kind you will find in a country garden. It’s hard to pick, but some of my favourites are hollyhocks, peonies, daylilies, columbine, anemone, and the beautiful alpine aster which I got from Mom shortly before she died. I actually have a list of all the types of flowers and plants I’ve grown, complete with information on where I acquired them, whether it be a person or a shop!

This is so beautiful!! I love your journaling and am so tickled to see people take part in this challenge. The stories behind the photos really are what give our layouts lasting meaning!!

Thank-you, Deb! While I do tend to journal (and from the heart), after I read Stacy's Meaningful Journaling article I became more determined to document what is behind the photo. As Stacy talked about the "Strangers in a Box" it really made an impression on me because I have one of those mysterious, frustrating boxes of photos! I really appreciated that article in the notebook this month.

Great journaling that will probably mean a lot to your kids someday too. I like the layout. The green on green allows your photos to stand out. You are so fortunate to have a gift for growing things.

I agree about the journaling. That is one of the best parts of digiscraping in my humble opinion. Love your garden. One of these days when I retire I am going to have more flowers.
