Journaling (using Sansumi font):

My mother was a widow at age 22, when I was just three months old.

Oh Shar, what a stunning tribute to a very special and beautiful lady! Is that you with her in the photos?

Blessings to you,

Beautiful tribute - beautifully done.

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly shouting, 'Wow! What a ride! Thank You, Lord!' - Beth Moore

Yep. That's little ol' me.

I'm so envious of this generation of young people who take digital photography for granted. Wouldn't all of us "seniors" love to have more photos of our parents...our siblings....our selves as children? As I go through these old photos, I am finding that I'm using many that are in horrible condition. And as I think of childhood stories, I sometimes need to use photos that have already been used in other layouts. Oh well. At least I have SOME. There are those who've lost them all in fire, flood, etc. And 200 years ago....well.... ! ! !

Just passing through.

This is lovely - - - - and I cannot imagine her sorrow at losing your dad and her joy at having little you in her life. Bittersweet.
