The New Year provides us the opportunity for fresh starts and new beginnings. This month’s Guild kit with its bright and happy color palette of red, yellow, green and aqua sets the mood for layouts that celebrate good cheer and optimism-that certain sense of excitement when setting out on a new adventure. When printing your layouts for your album, it’s always fun to have 2-page coordinating spreads, and yet most of us scrap single page layouts. This issue may change the way you approach your multiple-photo layouts! We have gathered the best of the two-page layouts and multiple-photo single page layouts we could find for our issue this month.

Our seven creative teams have tackled the challenges we presented them, and we hope you will find their layouts to be just what you are searching for as inspiration. Challenges include: Title, journaling, color, scraplift, song lyric, recipe and Inspiration Station.

Our new features this year include: Designer’s Corner (tutorials by Debb Cozzi for designers), It’s Your Shot (Project 52/Project 366 ideas and Flickr group by Sheryl Cody), Template Inspiration (one template, many ways by Amy Martin) and Girl + Scrap (random, but poignant inspiration from Tiffany Landry).

As always we have our Hot Trend, Happy Ending, Hybrid Corner (this month’s project includes a 12 layered PSD files for a hybrid desktop calendar/bragbook), and Lifelines heritage scrapping article.

The spotlight is on designer Forever Joy Designs and her talented creative team. She also provides a mini kit for our readers in a rich red and teal color combination.

To purchase a Guild Membership, please follow these instructions:

1. Go to Forum

2. Register as a Guest by clicking on “Register” below the forum banner.*

3. Receive email and follow instructions to activate your guest registration.*

4. Once your guest registration has been activated log into the Forum and click on “User CP” in the small menu bar below the main navigation links.

5. On the left menu area, click on “Paid Subscriptions” (located in the last menu box on the bottom left under “Miscellaneous”)

6. Use the drop-down menu to select either “Guild Membership” which includes both the monthly Guild kit and the monthly issue of our magazine, “The Artisan Notebook” OR select “Artisan Notebook Subscription” which includes a 3-month subscription to the magazine.

*If you are already registered as a guest you may skip directions 1-3 and move directly to direction #4.
