Default Mind-blowing art possibilities

This blows me away. I hope you will enjoy the possibilities:

http://www.googleartproject.com/

Google used street view technology and went through some of the most famous museums around the world. You "walk around" each museum, and zoom in on paintings, getting closer than you could if you were actually there. And there is other information about each painting, and even videos done by the museums that you can run on the side while looking at the painting. They even let you make your own collection of the art, which you can download at any zoom level!

What an amazing home-schooling tool this would be...and for us digi-artists...!

Video here that tells you all about what you can do: http://www.googleartproject.com/c/faq

Oh this is so cool!! I took several art history classes when I was in college. How I would love to go back and take them with all the technology that kids have today; it really does make the wonders of the world completely accessible. Thanks for sharing!

I'd heard about this, but never followed up. Thanks for the push, Shar!
