wow I just can't imagine weather that cold!
It's currently 27c here at 9:30am.
I think that's about 80f
Yesterday was 38.9c and today is supposed to be worse.
Up around 41c or 105f I think.
I'm not looking forward to doing the school pickup this afternoon. The aircon in my car is broken and my car has an all glass roof. Not really made for Aussie conditions.

Yes, it moved from MD to here in PA! It's currently 28. Not too awful cold, but unfortunately it's raining. and freezing. It's gonna be a long night.

School was cancelled for tomorrow before any snow hit the ground. On Monday my husband's work was making plans for how people would have to leave at 6 am to get there at 8 on Wednesday if they lived less than 45 minutes away. If their trip was longer than that (on a normal day), then they would stay in a hotel that the company would pay for. They have generators and never, ever close for bad weather.

Same here on schools -- they called last night -- and we found out this morning that daycare is closed as well. Since we were directed yesterday to take our computers home (and I take it home every night in the wintertime anyway, just for this sort of thing) I didn't bother to try to leave and I am working from home. DH is taking the day off of work -- his plant is one of three in a cluster and his is one of the two that are open -- to watch the kids.

I have the news on in the background (Love it! Can't do that at work!) and they've been covering the roads and weather all morning (instead of going off at 7 like normal.) I'm glad we're inside today!

Haven't heard anything about the groundhog. I suppose he's snowed in too.
