Default Will anybody be watching American Idol this season?

A couple of years ago American Idol was our "Family Night Around the TV" night. My most favorite year was when "my" girl Carrie Underwood won. I picked her out even before Hollywood week. However, the last several years have been, well, meh. Last year we ended up having our church small group meetings on Tuesday nights so we hardly ever got to watch.

I tuned in last night to see what the new judges were like. I don't know yet if I can "buy into" them. Although I have to say Jennifer Lopez is an absolutely GORGEOUS woman!!

I missed the first show of AI. But looking forward to the season. I love watching it every week.

My boys get a kick out of Steven Tyler as a judge but he seems kind of lost to me; I don't know if he has figured out what kind of role he wants to play on the show. The whole panel of judges seem a little more "kind-hearted" with Simon gone. (Although I personally always enjoyed Simon.)

I will be watching but not with the anticipation I used to get! I agree that Jennifer Lopez is flawless!

I think it was good to shake up the judging panel a bit. Simon appeared to be SO bored and over seeing these new contestants. I'm sure it was old hat to him, but to these young kids, it was a dream? He went from being the entertainment because of his banter to someone who was just downright cranky and irritable.

I watched the first show this week, but the second show has been DVR'd and I've still to watch it. I'm definitely an AI fan!

I've not watched AI, but I do love The Sing Off. Tuesday nights, huh? I don't think we watch anything on Tuesday. Maybe I should start watching it.

Oh, we watched the Sing Off too! LOVED "Committed" and the group of southern boys, can't remember their name; I think they were the runners up.

AI is switching nights it will be on Wednesdays & Thursdays this season. I'll probably miss most Wednesday nights because I watch our youth group leaders little kids while they minister to our teenagers. But we will probably all be watching on Thursdays for sure.

Committed and Street Corner Symphony. The interesting thing was that I loved both of those groups, too, but for different reasons. I did love Jeremy's voice so much - - - he's the lead singer of SCS. I Googled them and discovered they all have ministers for fathers.

Wednesdays I watch Top Chef at 10 pm. Thursdays I watch The Good Wife at 10 pm. I guess I don't watch much earlier than that - although we do watch Chuck on Mondays at 8 pm.

Well, at least your TV watching is more varied than mine...mostly, I don't watch!! LOL but if I do it is either Fox News, AI, Football (of course ) and occasionally I'll sit down and watch Mythbusters or Cake Boss with the boys.
