I have to say that my Paint Shop Pro is ALWAYS open! Whenever I get even a couple of minutes, I jump on and get to work...I always save right after just in case something happens. My family also knows that after the little one goes to bed that that is my scrap time...whether I'm creating or doing a LO.

I'm like Kryss, I always have PS open and ready to go. I think ahead, try and put layouts together before I sit down. I try to streamline the process by basically laying out my photos (all virtually right?) and getting titles and journaling ideas together before I sit down to work. This is my "general" process. Sometimes I just sit down to scrap with no idea in mind, and it takes me a LOT longer
LOL...no real secrets, and I'm NOT fast...so don't know that I helped at all.

I just don't do other work. Seriously. *lol* Obviously, I do go to work everyday, etc...but there's always *something* that needs to be done, and there comes a point where I just say "It will just have to wait." I've learned that "me" time is very important, and taking a break to have some "me" time refreshes me and I end up getting the other stuff done faster.

I have a laptop so I can do it at night while watching TV and doing laundry. I also try to utilize some of the techniques I learned in Power Scrapping. I try to put photos together in a folder, especially if I'm using multiple photos from different occasions. I decide on my kit, and try to add all the papers and elements I think I'm going to use and put them on the layout as layers and immediately save the .pspimage to the folder.
I also try to remember to open a Notepad file to keep any notes on the layout, including kit used with designer information, fonts used, and any notes on colorization or other revisions to the elements. This makes writing my gallery descriptions so much easier. It also helps me if I don't come back to a layout for a while, or if I want to create a companion page. |

Evening and sometimes nap time ... that's how I fit it in. Luckily the twins are pretty good sleepers and it does "help" that my DH has a fair few evening meetings and the babies are usually asleep by 6 pm.
I also have PSP and PS open at all times, so when I have an idea I can put it into action asap or at least write it down somewhere for later. I tend to think about LOs when I'm doing the mundane housework too, so I'm done with the thinking it out part when I sit down to scrap! I currently do spend too much time in the evenings/nights on scrapping and scrapping related matters and result is a not entirely spotless house and a whole bunch of missed sleep quotas on my part, but a sane and happy scrapping Mommy

When the kids are in bed is my most productive time on the computer.
However, that being said, during the day I have so little extra time that I sometimes scrap with enough "pressure to finish" before I run out of viable time, that I finish LOs very quickly. Sometimes that bit of added pressure forces me to focus a little more which sometimes works out, and, sometimes doesn't. If I finish one quickly that I'm not satisfied with, I put it aside til they're in bed and I can play around with the LO til I'm satisfied. Last night, I almost finished one during the commercials of HEROES (my new must-see TV). LOL.
