Default I'm so excited!!

My youngest sister called me today from Chicago.

First the bad news: She and 300 people got laid off at the company where she worked.

Now for the exciting, marvelous, amazing news: SHE IS GOING TO VISIT US WITH MY PARENTS AFTER CHRISTMAS!! They will drive straight through to our home the Saturday after Christmas and stay til New Years Day. I'm so excited that I will hardly be able to sleep tonight!

YAY!

Oh Stacey, I am sorry to hear about those people. One of our local businesses closed down this week and over 200 people were laid off. My brother has just been laid off as well.

Good to hear that they are all coming to visit you though!! That must be so exciting for you, Michael and Alannah!! What a wonderful Christmas gift for the whole family.

So sorry to hear that your sister and her community are suffering in this economy.

The visit should be wonderful though. Christmas Holiday visits are usually the best.

Have a blessed time with your sister, it sounds as if she will be needing this time to be loved on.

I know you will enjoy your visit with Erin!!! And I have my fingers crossed that she finds something soon - as will Amy's brother.

Oops - having to cross my toes, because my fingers are already crossed for Mario and for me (I will know for sure next week, but I think I'm ok.)

Stacey what a wonderful Christmas surprise though the bad news is so sad. You hear the numbers of people losing their jobs I then I read this post and those number now have faces. Best of luck in finding new jobs!
