Another Newbie

Hi, I'm Stacey; I joined The Digital Scrapbook Artisan Guild the other day. I'd read a thread on another forum about how wonderful this place is and it sat in the back of my mind for a few days. I finally came over to see, joined and am thrilled. The December Kit is absolutely stunning, I can't imagine running out of layouts in the near future.

I've been married 20 years in January, we have three children, 19, 17 and 11. I homeschool our 11 year old and design part time. I'm looking for a place to grow, and I definitely need to understand the dynamics of layouts better than I do in order that I can effectively create kits for others. This looks to be a wonderful place to gain better insight...and the Artisan Notebook download has engaged me!

Welcome Stacey!!! I think that you will find this is exactly what you are looking for if you are totally interested in layout design. Debb's really good that way, and she sometimes even has time to share with us (poor Debb, stays hopping all the time)

Anyway, welcome Stacey, I'm thrilled that you are here!! Be sure and check out the Artisan Notebook challenge gallery....participating in those challenges and asking for specific feedback is a great way to grow in your layout design skills. I try to keep on top of layouts posted in the gallery. I usually make just general comments but if you ever want specific feedback just let me know. (Don't worry, I'm gentle! )

My SIL is a homeschool mom. I have such admiration for her and for you. It is a wonderful calling and I've seen first-hand the benefits that flow from that kind of dedication.
