Default An Unexpected Girls' Nite

Last night I received a call from two of my friends and asked me to go out to supper with them. Sean and I were eating at the time so I politely thanked them and said I would make it up to them later. They called when they got back and asked me to come over, so I did. What a wonderful time we had. All of the kids were in bed and the men were gone to the movies. It reminded me of the days when we were all still in school and had no responsibilities. We sat around the table drinking tea and talking. Browsed photos on Facebook and other sites. Then it became a beauty night! We put french braids in each others hair. Ok, Courtney was the only one that put successful braids in but Ellen and I tried!! lol
We gave facials, plucked each others eyebrows, talked about boys, fashion, home decor, what eyeliners to use, tried on clothes, etc.. It was such simple conversation, simple things and simple times but when I left that house I felt like I was completely rejuvenated. I would highly recommend any of you ladies have girls night out with your friends. No need to go out and spend a ton of money. Stay in, use what you have and remember that the company is the best part. I felt extremely happy and no one can put a price tag on that.

Amy - I'm so glad that you got to enjoy the evening with your friends. Sometimes laughter and the simple things make the best times together.

Sounds like fun Amy, wish my girlfriends from school lived closer. Meagan went away on the weekend to church camp and had alot of fun. She is invited back next year again, I'm so lucky she has decided to enjoy the simple things in life, as there is so many drugs and alcohol running rampant beginning in Grade Eight. The older boys scare her a little too, but that is OK, she rather have fun with the younger ones. She is definately a beauty, and I'm sure the older ones will be haunting her this year.,

Amy - I have a great circle of girlfriends too and they are amazing. We all keep each other sane. We dont have to do anything special, we just enjoy each others company. We try to do bi-weekly coffee nights out. It is somewhat easy for us as most of us have kids who at the youngest are in high school. I would love to see you in braids Amy. I completely understand about the camera sometimes its just not necessary! Love your story!

Next time I will take my camera!! Ok, this is not a good photo but this is another time that Courtney and I got together and did girly things. She braided my hair. I did her hair. We did each others make up and then took photos. lol These layouts were created way back in the day when I was on the CT here.
