Wink What's hard for you to scrap?

I thought this would be neat to so see that others dread doing certain pages.

For me, I HATE doing Christmas pages. I don't' know why. I've got a Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Christmas Morning, and Family pics for Christmas to scrap and I am pulling teeth to get them done! I've got two done already, but those four are screaming at me! I'd much rather do random shots, or candids.

So what do you dread scrapping?

The hardest thing for me to scrap is a layout about me. I hate it!!! Unfortunately , when I was on the studio crew at SBG's that was what the challenges were. Man I struggled and I hate pics of me- so that made it harder. Once I took a stock photo of a girl and put it into the layout instead of me! LOL

I think right now the hardest for me to scrap are the Reflections pages (being the new year and everything) because last year was not something I really want to reflect on - and then the Be My Valentine type pages that a lot of challenges on other sites are starting to promote.

I don't like LOs about myself much either - there are so few photos that I find "bearable" of me that I would much rather just skip over that. However, since it is important that my presence with the children is in the baby books as much as any others I am working on getting over that one!

Other than that I go through phases. I often find that in challenges I come up against something I find difficult ... maybe a kit that isn't all that inspiring at the time, a subject I have nothing much to say/scrap about right then, a photo that seems important but isn't getting the creative juices flowing. However I find that overcoming the "finding it difficult to do" can produce some of the best LOs!

I have NO problem whatsoever with doing pages about myself simply because I just don't do them! LOL

But, seriously, the pages I have the hardest time doing are the ones I feel I HAVE to do. It's hard for me to find inspiration when I'm trying to "force" it. I do much better just looking through a bunch of pictures until I find one that inspires me on its own. Or, sometimes, if there's a kit, BG, or element that I REALLY like then I am inspired enough with that and then finding a photo that will partner with it is much easier.

I think you nailed it...I have a hard time with those "have to pages" too. Like I have a whole bunch of photos from New Years that I want to get scrapped...but none of them are inspiring me - so I keep putting it off. When I paper scrapped, I only did pages like that - chronological albums and stuff - now that I'm digi, I like to do random stuff instead! My chronological albums have all but disappeared!

close but no cigar donna! and Sue, you are right. It's all about have to pages. And I am an chronological freak. BUT I still paper scrap mini albums that i don't want to digi scrap.
For me, Digi scappin is for everyday, paper scrappin is for special events.
Selah will have a first birthday album (6x6 or 8x8) that will be paper scrapped. I can get the album done nicely in about 2-3 hours.

I just realized that certain colors are hard for me to scrap too. Like Lime green, neon green, neon pink ... well neon anything really lol and so on. There are lots of kits that have colors that I am not all that fond of, but it still works for me in a kit, and then there are some colors that just kill any kind of inspiration on my part.
