Default Cannon i9900 won't print in black

I've had this printer for quite a while, but never had this problem. I have been through every setting I know, I have changed the cartridge, but to no avail. NO BLACK prints. In any program. I'm about to lose my mind. This started abruptly and I don't know what to do. Has anyone ever had this problem????

I am HORRIBLE when it comes to printers. I would rather buy a new one, and have, instead of trying to fix the old one. Someone told me though that inside the printer there are little nozzles that sometimes get clogged. May be they need to be cleaned out??? Sorry, I have probably been of no help. lol

LOL that's funny, because that's what I'd rather do that too Amy, I might even have convinced my hubby of that too, I just say, hey, the printer is BROKE, and a new one is like $500!! Then if it's not, he feels like he got a DEAL. LOLOL. So, I'm off to try the nozzle thing before I go shopping. Hehehe.

Okay, I reinstalled the driver, which gave me the utilities, and then I ran maintenance and unclogged the nozzles, and viola!!! It works.....no new printer? That's actually a good thing, I really like this one
