Default Had SUCH a Good Time....

Oh gosh - I have been having such a good time this weekend. First of all, yesterday was my 4th anniversary and my dear hubby let me go to the Women of Faith Conference last night and today. How sweet is that?

The conference was a BLAST. The theme was Amazing Freedom. I just loved all of the speakers and I can't even tell you who my favorite was they were all so great. Let's see - what were some highlights? Ok...in no particular order other than the way my memory brings them to mind - so don't think these are chronological or anything lol.

First, there was Patsy Clairmont - WOW!!! She is such a dynamic speaker and SO MUCH FUN . I loved hearing her story about climbing the mountain. It's hard to believe she was ever agoraphobic for a long time. She taught us that we can have freedom from fear.

Then, Nicole Johnson - What can I say about her except that her dramatic performances are, for lack of a better work, amazing. She did three of them during the conference - I think my favorite was the first. She was a waitress leading a Bible study about the story of Martha and Mary - it was so much fun. Her second was about a girl who cut herself to try to release the pain she was feeling inside and could not release otherwise. Made me cry. Her final one was about betrayal - and her message here was that Forgiveness does not make what the betrayer did RIGHT - it FREES the one who was betrayed. Gives me shivers just remembering it.

Marilyn Meberg - she's such a fun lady. She taught us that it we need to be free to FEEL and to get those feelings out either verbally or in writing but not to bottle them up inside afraid to let them go for fear of being overwhelmed.

Luci Swindoll - for a 75 year old - she is SOOOO young. (I can't believe she's 75 - seriously!!!) She taught us that we need to Stay Put (I think - i might have that one wrong), Shut Up and LET GO. If we don't let go we just mess everything up!!!

Carol Kent - What an amazing woman. She has used her heartache at the incarceration of her son to bring such glory to God. Her story just touched my heart.

Anita Renfroe - WOW!!! She is SOOO funny. Had falling out of our seats laughing. She was truly gifted - AND she was a Pastor's wife for 20 of their 25 years of marriage. WOW....she sure doesn't fit that profile, but she was awesome - fall off your seat laughing kind of fun.

Sandy Patty - When she sings you feel her heart....she has an amazing voice as well as an amazing testimony. She taught us that in order for God to catch us and help us most - we have to FALL FORWARD into his loving arms.

Sheila Walsh - Another amazing story and another amazing speaker. She taught us that we need to be striving for GOD's Dreams rather than the AMERICAN dream which is so flawed. And we can be free to dream.

Finally - Nicole C. Mullens - WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW - she had us jumpin' and clappin' and singin' and even cryin'. She is an AMAZING artist. She touched my heart with a song about the woman who touched Jesus' hem to heal her sickness.....you'd have to hear it to understand.

Anyway - that was my weekend in a nutshell. I don't think I left anything else. I just had to share my excitement.

(Now if only I had pictures - no flash photography was allowed Though I saw people doing it *pouts* I wish I'd brought my camera lol)

I've seen Patsy and Luci at events before and you are right they really are uplifting. The thing I love most about you your story is that your husband shared it with you!! What a special way to celebrate your anniversary. Congratulations and may you be blessed with decades more of them!!
