I just DVR American Idol so I can skip through all the commercials. I don't like waiting while they do all the hype either . . . so I can watch an episode pretty quickly . . . and while I try to watch the night of, sometimes I don't get to it until the next day or so. Unless it's like the last few episodes. Then I'm fairly serious about watching the night of.
Do y'all DVR your regular shows? I have so much that even DH does it ~ DVRs the football games. He can forward through lots of commentary. LOL |

I MISS OUR DVR PLAYER!! When we moved to MI one of the things that was a shock to us was no cable or DSL on our road. So, no DVR. I hadn't watched commercials in years and I could FF through shows quickly like you do, Cheryl. So now I don't watch much on TV, but I do watch Hulu - stepping away from the computer while the commercial runs so I can do a little chore.

Yes, I do miss have the "timer" of the commercials to get tasks done. The TV show would be over and all my little things would be done and I would feel like WHOA?!? how did I do all that? I was just watching TV. LOL

I was a diehard American Idol fan, and was disheartened by the situation with the judges. I never cared for Paula, and while I luv Ellen, it was definitely NOT her forte. I was tiring of "dawg" and Kara didn't do much for me, either. I decided I was not going to watch this season. HOWEVER, I did "check in" to see how the new judges were faring after hearing a lot of "good reviews" from coworkers. I am a bit surprised to say, I very much ENJOY them. Like others, I do DVR and skip through commercials, etc. I am excited about some of the other changes this season, such as allowing contestants to sing their own genre. I am now looking forward to seeing Hollywood and the final 12 contestants.
