Here's an example of what I mean by capturing a month at a time.

It's more busy than I like my layouts to be. I am trying to use blocked templates to make it look cleaner.

I use some of the Project 365 templates.

Do you girls have any favorite templates that you would like to share??

thanks
Tina

Very cool!

I have been thinking about creating one layout a week for my 365 and doing the layout up as a template to give away on my blog....

I cant tell you how many times I almost did that but I have the lock on. The only pictures I have from my graduation are the ones given to me by friends because my dad forgot to put film in the camera.

I'm still doing this, since I started in March last year. Miracle of miracles, I'm finally caught up! Here are my LOs, only about 6 weeks left to go till my baby turns one!

I am working on this, so far, I've been able to get a photo every day, but I find I'm running out of ideas. Some days are easy, I have lots of choices, but other days, like today, I'm home all day and I'm just not coming up with any new ideas. You guys who have made it through a whole year are amazing, how do you keep coming up with ideas?

Grab your camera and walk thru your house- shoot the plants you are growing (journal a comment about your green thumb or not), gifts that you received (will you remember where you got that vase or other knicknack?), the view out the front window or back door. sit on the floor at your kids' level- shoot the room, etc from their point of view. Hand the kid your camera and let them take the picture for the day! I once made a bouquet of tulips last through a week's worth of pictures-documented the vase, the closed flowers, the opening beauty, etc.
There are a bunch of web sites that give photo of the day prompts- try some of them.!
Lots of fun and well worth it! I printed the layouts with Inkubook and have great documentation of 2009! So much fun that I'm continuing another year.
Hope this helps.

Donna

I'm about a month away from making it through a whole year. To be honest though, I have missed days, I just take more pictures on other days to make up for it. I figure it's the spirit of the project, not the technicalities that I should get caught up in.

I guess it's a bit easier for me since I'm focusing on my baby the whole first year of his life. When I'm out of ideas, I try to think about what story I want to tell for that day, either something new or different that happened that day, or some little detail that I'd like to tell the story of. Hope that helps!

Most of the time I just shoot what is around me. I grab my son or my man or any object within reach. Some days I plan, but most days not. I grab friends, friends' kids, etc.. I shoot our food even! lol Flickr is a GREAT resource for ideas as well if you run out. Just look up the different groups for 365, there are ones for self-portraits, for children, for general, for clouds, everything!
