I was hoping to do this yesterday, but I couldn't find any quart jars for sale at Wal-Mart or BJ's. So today I'm getting second-hand jars from a woman at church.
I've borrowed a food mill and a pressure canner, I have the apples and today we are going to have fresh applesauce! YUM!

Sounds good - we don't get great apples here usually... although yesterday the grocery store had a huge display of honeycrisp apples.

yum! I am hoping to run to the orchard this week and get some late apple cheap, and make apple sauce with those. Or even just peel slice and freeze for apple crisps in the winter.

Boy, you are really going at it there! Eggs, squash, now applesauce. Good for you. Not much of a squash person....though I think I'd like the muffins! Love applesauce...I bet homemade is super!
