No, because her allergy is not Epi-Pen serious. She can have *a little* dairy without having intestinal problems. For example, one scoop of ice cream doesn't have consequences the next day, but a single cone does.

So we cook with Silk plain and bake with Silk Vanilla. We use soy butter instead of butter. We've found her tolerance level and cook and bake within it. If she had a serious dairy allergy, everything would be even harder.

Ah ha! I should have known. My youngest was allergic to dairy as an infant/young child. She outgrew it around 5 years old. It was not as challenging I think with an infant/toddler as it would be for a pre-teen. I took pictures of her first bowl of cereal she got to eat. Although, it was one of the only ones. She is now 12 and never drinks milk and does not eat much dairy. I have to give her calcium supplements. I guess she just didn't acquire a taste for it.
