Grandma - I'm sure Debb will be along later to answer your question. Sunday is a day she normally spends with her family.

But I just wanted to say welcome!!! I hope you find the Guild a warm, friendly place like I have!

Default Help me renew my membership please

OK, not the end of the world, yet - but I cannot get the site to let me renew my guild membership. I don't get it, and it doesn't seem to get me. What do I do? When I click on the "Order Using PayPal" Button, I get to a page that basically says go back and do it again. Now, I'm pretty witless right now, but this is ridiculous! (How to keep a Linda busy - see other side. How to keep a Linda busy...)

So, ladies, HELP!!!!

As I said, not the end of the world. My fault for waiting til the end of the month to reup my membership so I can get the september kid and zine and goodies. But does it always have to involve pixel pixies? I mean really!!! Grr and argh - hate those pixies!!!

random question - why only the option for three months? Just curious.

Thanks for your help.

And no, I am not falling off the face of the earth - I have been BUSY with layout for a program book for football and cheering - ads, ads, more ads, rosters, highlights, team photos, and so much more! I HATE fundraising, and I am going wonky from scanning business cards, but I'm having a blast with PS, Illustrator, and I get to use InDesign too!! And it's all for charity so I don't get a paycheck. And it will go to the printer next week and I will be FREE again.

But I got a temp paying job too - it starts soon - yay for me!!!! And I'm so far behind on scrapping that I might actually catch up. And my dd who doesn't cheer anymore is in marching band and looks fantastic in her uniform!!! Just wait til I get some free time!!!

And the boys are taller and older and my eldest will be able to vote in November if he ever drags his butt to town hall and registers to vote!!!

God, I'm old.

Thanks all.

Linda

Hi Linda, don't worry we will get this worked out for you (and I'll make sure you get the September kit.) I will send you a pm to get this fixed.

We switched to a 3-month membership when there were all those problems earlier this year with some other subscription sites (to remain nameless) The bad faith of other sites was leaving people suspicious of all subscription sites and people felt more comfortable just committing for 3-months versus a year.

Gosh, I had no idea! I feel out of the loop. I need to make it to a convention or something!!! Then I could actually get some real gossip. ;-)

So, I got the paypal link to work, and I'm just sitting here waiting - yeah, right, JUST sitting here - not likely!!!

In any case, I'll check in every so often to see what's up with my order and such. I'm expecting that at some point later this afternoon I'll be able to download stuff. No worries - not stressing at all now that I figured out what was going on.

Who knew that FireFox and PayPal weren't playing nicely with each other right now? Never had a problem before, but that was then and FireFox has gone thru umpteen zillion upgrades since then.

Thanks Debb, you rock!!

Time to get back to work and such!

Linda

You should be able to click on User CP on the brown bar above and then on the lower left side of the new page, click Paid Subscriptions. Hope that helps!

I am confused. LOL. I joined and it took about a week to get it activated. In fact I had forgot about it until I got the email today. What I am confused about is I don't remember if I just joined or paid to be a guild member. So I bought the guild membership today. Did I already pay for this the first time or did I just join without doing that???????
