Prayers for Digital Friends in Japan
We have two wonderful ladies who are part of our Artisan Notebook team who live in Japan; HollyInJapan and Beth Santos-Gugol. We understand that Holly is well but still waiting to hear from her husband. Beth and her family are all well. Her husband had to walk home from work and arrived home about five hours after the quake hit.
The magnitude of this earthquake and tsunami are hard to comprehend. I'm praying specifically for our friends and more generally for the entire nation of Japan. May God's extended grace and mercy be felt as people deal with the consequences of this tragedy. |
Absolutely
I have two personal friends in Japan one lives at the southern end of Honshu and the other in Tokyo. I have heard from one but not the other yet.
The images online are devastating and it must be very difficult for all concerned. |
I just read on another forum that Holly's Hubby is fine. They are altogether. Thank goodness!! Yes, please keep them all in your prayers.

They are in my thoughts and prayers - I can't imagine what they are all going through.

Both Holly and Beth are posting updates on their Facebook pages. Holly's husband did make it home safely. Please continue to pray. Although they made it safely through the earthquake they are daily called upon to find new ways to cope with the stress and anxiety of...aftershocks, food shortages, planned power outages, and the fears of radiation exposure. It puts everything we do in a different perspective. Life is fragile and precious. May God's grace and mercy cover all in ways that we don't even know how to pray.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling....The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress." Psalm 46 |
My heart and prayers go out to all those suffering in this terrible quake and tsunami.
