How many layers in a layout?

I was wondering.......how many layers are there in your most detailed layout??
I love layouts that are crammed full of goodies so that the more you look the more you see....and there's quite a few out there.

Which makes me think that the number of layers in those might be quite high?!?

In my case I'm having a love/hate relationship with my latest layout....Sail Away (http://www.digitalscrapbookartisanguild.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=3711&ppuser=24) I think it might be my favorite one, but it took 4 days of fussing to get each element just right.......over 100 layers!

Since I don't put my drop shadows on separate layers except for transparent elements, mine isn't that high. And I do a lot of masking which I sometimes then merge down to make it easier to move the element. So my answer is I don't really know - but I thnk somewhere over 50.

But then I don't tend to put as much detail as a lot of you and Linda - your layouts always have so much depth!!!

Ok I dont want to be hearing this right now since I'm a newbie. Omg 100 Layers that would test my patience to the limit. Dont see doing 50 either at this point. Jezz no wonder it takes so much time to put a layout together.

I have a horrible habit of merging layouts together, which can sometimes come back to bite me, but even without merging 100 is a LOT. lol I dont know, I guess I will have to count someday on one of my more detailed layouts.

Ok just for Linda, I counted the layers in the last layout I made. There are 46 but its a fairly plain layout. ;)

Umm.... I have no idea, I know sometimes it feels like a 100 layers but I don't think I've ever actually got there!!

100!?! Wow!! I tend to have multiple layers too, but never that many! Of course, your pages always rock, so maybe I should have 100. :D

I have never counted mine, but I a few I would say have been over 50...but, if I get too many then I start getting frustrated, so I tend to merge after a point to keep the layers manageable. Also, my Photoshop gets wonky if I over load it too much, another reason I merge...so I don't have any accurate count. 100 is MEGA layers!! :)

But I've got to tell you that these last few detail intensive layouts just about drove me NUTS with all the fussing!!..and then the credits...arghhh!
The credits for "Tell Me About" took 1 and 1/2 hours to type out and link!

I love this style, and love doing it....but it's SLOWWWW going, for sure!!!
