One of my friends I teach with just lost her baby yesterday. She was due in the next week or so, so it was full term. I don't have any details at this point, but unfortunately I know all too well how hard this kind of loss is. I don't know where she stands spiritually, I know that they don't attend church on a regular basis, and this is the kind of thing that can really shake one's faith. So if you could, please pray for their family, they do have one boy who just turned 2.

Thanks girls.

I have said a prayer. There is a lady who has a ministry that she makes braclets for Mom's who deal with loss like this. She makes them with the birthstone of the month the child would have been born. If you think this would help her (the reason I know about it is a dear friend of mine had a still born baby girl three years ago and she got one of these and said it helped her) I can see if she has the info about the bracelet.

thanks ladies

Oh Paula...what a great idea. A friend of one of my mom's made me a "Joey bracelet", where she used his birthstone and our birthstones...as well as some other special charms. I know it is special to me. Thanks so much!!!!

I just added this to my prayer list. I can't imagine the pain that your friend feels, but I do know the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and will pray towards that end. The bracelet idea sounds great. I would be happy to help pay for it.

Kara, what a sad thing to happen. I know that it will be difficult to overcome ,especially if there is no spiritual faith involved. I will definitely keep her and her family in my prayers.

Kara sweetheart, I know this must reopen painful sorrow for you as well. My prayer for both you and your friend and family is that God's blessed assurance will surround all of you and give you peace and comfort.

The bracelet idea sounds wonderful....If you can't contact the lady I would be happy to help by making a bracelet for your friend.

Thanks so much ladies, I appreciate it, and I know she and her family will as well. She e-mailed and said it was due to a knot in his cord as well as it being wrapped around his neck and shoulders. What is so hard for me to understand is that she almost lost this baby in the beginning as well...why do we have go through these roller coasters? I guess its like the Rich Mullins song says, some things are just plain hard to get. (If you don't know that song, I suggest you check it out, its on the Jesus Record. I did have it playing on my myspace, but I changed it this morning for Praise You in this Storm). If you want to hear it, I'll change it back...just let me know.
