Well......I have NOT actually 'spotted' the exotic Stacey-bird but I DID hear the sweet 'chirp' of her voice!! :) :) She has made it safely to her new home and is at this very moment buying herself a brand new sofa and love-seat. (I'll let her tell you the colors!) They are still unpacking and she won't have internet access until next Tuesday.

BUT.....she did say she might sneak into DH's office and use his computer before then so keep a sharp eye out....we may have a Stacey sighting yet!! :p

Oh I heard the Stacey-bird chirping again!! ;) She is home from the furniture store and delighted with her new sofa and chairs!! She is a bit concerned though and I think I know how we can lure her out....it seems that she LOVES Tropicana diet orange soda. And, guess what?!!! They don't market product that in New England!!!!!

Sooooooooo start popping those soda cans girls and maybe the sound of the 'whizzzz' will call her out!! :) :) :)

I'm doing GREAT!!!! I saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time this week. Oh, yes, I had seen Long Island Sound before - - - but EVERYONE in CT was so insistent that it's NOT the ocean that I was so excited I could FINALLY say, "I saw the Atlantic!" I'd been to Florida several times, but never the beach, and seen the Pacific in San Fransisco and San Diego and from the plane at LAX. So this was a big deal!! :)

btw - - I'm typing better on this split keyboard now. Now if I could stop the typos altogether . . . .hmmmmm.

Michael's first sermon was AMAZING!! He talked about the widow at Nain and how Jesus met her at the crossroads . . . how he was in agony over her pain and suffering . . . how he went to her and comforted her and then raised her son from the dead. The question he asked us was, "When Jesus meets you at your crossroads, what burden will you let him take from you? . . . He's ready to lift your burden if you let it go." Oh, it was awesome!

We've not met any small neighborhood children yet, but Alannah will be starting Daisies this fall. Just yesterday we got a call that the kindergarten class that we were 2nd on the waiting list for had an opening! Praise God! She'll be attending a small Christian school.

Mary, one of the hopes that the congregation has is that Michael will start a church website. I would love to help him, but I know two html codes - - - and they are for creating links and hotlinks. Not much help, am I? I have taken some lovely photos of the church though!!

That sermon sounds amazing. I'll have to pass that thought on to my mom, grandma and DH. Very encouraging. Can I have the scripture refrence?

FYI, Rachel is also a HTML Queen....

Luke 7
Jesus Raises a Widow's Son
11Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. 12As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. 13When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry."

14Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" 15The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.

16They were all filled with awe and praised God. "A great prophet has appeared among us," they said. "God has come to help his people." 17This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea[a] and the surrounding country.

*****************************

Michael said that in the original Greek in v13 (his heart went out to her) translates to "He felt so bad for her that it was like his guts were being ripped out." He didn't just feel sad for her or have pity for her, he was in agony over the loss of her son.
