So Friday night, I head off to the skatepark to drop off my son for his weekly skate session...just like any other Friday...or so I thought!!! Now, the park is about 10 minutes from home...not a long drive, but good enough. I get there and say goodbye, back out of the space and the van sputters a little...I give it some gas and all is good! I get to the exit of the place and the van stalls out...NP...just acting up right? NOPE....the van will not start back up...SOOO I sit there for about an hour and a half trying to start it....now mind you, my DH is at home, worked a double shift the night before and had just sat down to play some Warcraft!!!! So I really don't want to call and bother him...anyways, I eventually do and he tries it out and comes to the conclusion that the car isn't starting...well, DUH! So we call AAA and have them tow it to the garage that we go to...I roll up all the windows (or so I think I do) and lock the doors. We finaly crawl through the door around midnight. I wake up the next morning to a phone call from the repair shop, they knew it was my car, but I forgot to leave the keys in the drop box (oops). So I walk down there ( DH was still sleeping) and bring them the keys and notice that my window was down. The mechanic told me that it was like that when he got there. I must have been so tired that I rolled the window down instead of up. Luckily it didn't rain and luckily nothing was taken....So the fun part is the fuel pump is dead and I need a new one! $700 BUCKAROOS!!!! What a fun weekend this has been. Hopefully we'll get the van back tomorrow, but 2 days without it is killing me!

Thanks for letting me vent!
Hugs to you all
Kryss

WE've had days like that all year...esp this past week. Yard vandilism, and a carwreck... Seriously, my sister could sell her life story to the WB and make a tv show like dawsons creek out of it...for real.

Arlene-Actually around here, that's a pretty good deal! we searched around to see what the prices are and for my van, they're about $300....you have to remember that they have to drop the fuel tank and really get in there to get it replaced. At least the van is paid off and hopefully this will be the last thing for a while.
Stephanie- I feel like I could do that too....what a funny show it would make!
Maggie- I'm lost without my van...So glad that the mechanic is close. Tasha's school is a bock away. Greg has quite a bit further to go, but he brought his skateboard to school, so he should be fine. I miss the sense of freedom that having your vehicle brings!!
