As September rolls around the kids get ready to start another year of school. High school graduates makes plans to start college or start their first jobs. This is a season that has us naturally thinking about future plans, hopes and dreams. These were the thoughts that inspired this month's Guild kit, "The Best Laid Plans." The backgrounds are a collection of lovely blue & grey gradients textured with grids and text elements. There is a large collection of coordinating elements (more than 50 distinct items) including 13 different frames, digital stamps, tags, ribbons, a variety of paper and ribbon flowers, layered overlays, word art and more. The alpha set includes an upper and lower case alpha, a set of flowers that can be used to decorate the letters, six different floral overlays that can be used as a base for your titles and five different sets of word art. As always the kit also includes a layered template and a Ready Made Page. This beautiful kit is sure to provide you with a firm foundation upon which to build some amazing digital layouts.

Don't miss out on this terrific kit, join the Guild TODAY!

The Guild kit is an exclusive benefit of Guild membership. Details may be found HERE (http://www.digitalscrapbookartisanguild.com/guild/index.shtml)

Guild membership also includes a monthly subscription to the Artisan Notebook:

"Before and After" is the theme of this month's Artisan Notebook, and we showcase several "Before" layouts and the revisions and "After" layout. In addition, the layout artist shares what design principles she learned along the way from her coach.

Our designer spotlight is on Sine from Scrap Orchard, and she shares her love of layered templates with us. Our own Becky Cutshaw is interviewed and she has a lovely layered template as a gift for our readers.

Our new first feature this month is Organize U, an article that shows us how to organize our digital files for maximum efficiency. You'll love what we've cooked up in our second new feature, Recipe For Design, and what our Design Chefs have created to inspire you. Two hybrid projects and several hybrid cards are featured in our Hybrid Corner article, and as always we have our Photo Editing tutorial by Julie Mead and our Portraits Plus article that focuses on portraits photography and a tutorial on creating a unique layout. Enjoy our Project 365 journey, the Hot Trend, our Photo Clinic, Stretch a Sketch, heritage scrapping with Lifelines, and a Happy Ending.

Our other free gift to our readers is a beautiful mini kit by Dee Bee Designs.

I love the angle of that photo and the way the reflection off of the lockers works with the colors in the background.
