Ummm Amy - I started a thread earlier today - LOL!!!!
I lost 1.8 and got a NSV last week (NSV = non-scale victory). A guy I work with told me I really looked like I lost a bunch. I've lost 27.4 pounds this year.

water aerobics class and generally doing most of the stuff that I have learned so far with 3 others this evening - I put myself on the scale and found out that I did not gain any weight and did not lose any weight. Still at 130 lbs!!!

from water aerobics, a trip to the library and grocery shopping. Stepped on the scales again this morning and still holding at 130 lbs.
We have decided to add another day to the gym schedule so I will be doing either elliptical training or treadmill on that day. I really don't want to start doing the weight machines at this point - mainly because I don't want to end up looking like Miss Universe!!!
Well done to everyone this week and keep it up.

Annette - if you keep the weights lighter and the reps higher, you won't get "ripped". But adding muscle mass WILL help the weight loss because more muscle mass increases the metabolism.
Don't be afraid of a weight routine - a combination of weights and aerobics really will help in overall health and weight loss. Also working with weights helps stave off osteoporosis.
