I ran 1.3km!!!! Which is a huge accomplishment for me! When I started my journey I literally couldnt run for 10 seconds...now I can run for 1.3km at a good pace. :)

Awesome! I'm trying to walk some, but I can only walk about a mile. I didn't go out today; I'm short of breath. Yuck...

Ick. No good. Have you tried Walk Away the Pounds? Its an indoor walking program. Its really quite good. You have three different levels, its really easy and no complicated moves.

I've had WATP in the past, I couldn't tell you if I still have it. I don't remember if it was in the stuff that was stolen during a break-in a few years ago. I remember being very bored with it. I just can't seem to get into video exercising, and don't want to spend the money on a gym membership right now. I'm not so short of breath today, but I probably won't walk tonight.

Carol - what's with the breathlessness?
Mom has been complaining of it as well, and finally got into a pulmonologist. They found that when she walked for a while and climbed stairs, her O2 sats were actually going down to 88%. So she's going through tests now to try and find out why instead of just getting an O2 tank.

Yeah, we learned all about Oxygen Saturation (O2 Sats) with both my dad and my sister. Fallout from the stroke for a long time was that dad had trouble regulating his oxygen - he had to sleep with O2 up until he died, even though he could do ok during the day.
And Mary had cancer end up in her lungs and was in ICU her last Christmas on full O2 because hers got down to around 85%.
Anything above 95% is considered normal, anything below 90% is considered dire, especially if it doesn't recover. Fortunately, Mom's does eventually recover with rest.
WTG, Amy! Right now my walking is to the park with DGD and to garage sales with DD. The knees aren't what they used to me (old grey mare), enjoy your youth! But three years ago I couldn't lift my leg to put my clothes on (but now I can) -- healing is wonderful and I might just jump rope or run again!! At least walk the golf course.
