Welcome or as we say in Texas, HOWDY!
Come on in, pull up a chair, grab a cup of your favorite warm beverage and visit a while. We'd love to know a little about you. One of the best part of digiscrapping and online communities is the friendships that develop. You rejoice with others in their joys, hurt with them in their pains, and especially LAUGH! Oh and we share our layouts with one another.
So tell us who you are, how long you have been digi-scrapping and anything else you'd like to share!
Again WELCOME! We hope you'll soon feel at home here!

Hi! I'm Holley. I'm married to a wonderful man named Jeff. We have 3 munchkins--Emma, Peter, and Liddy--who are the sources for my photos!
I've been digiscrapping for about 6 years now and love it. I've been a graphic designer for over 10 years and try to bring those skills into my layouts and designing.
I'm a fontaholic. I love Starbucks. And I love Jane Austen stories (along with Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy)--but don't ask me if I read something! I'm a very visual person so I've probably only seen the movie. LOL
I'm so glad to be here and hope to develop a lot of great friendships with you all!
Oh, and I take requests for doodles and kits. ;)

Hi, I'm Angie. I live in central Il with my husband, Kevin and three girls, Emily, Sarah and Kayley.
I've been scrapping for about 6 years and went digital almost exactly one year ago. I haven't done a paper layout since I printed out my very first digital one. I'm new to designing and really love the creative freedom that it gives me.
My two older girls figure skate so I spend a bunch of my time shivering in a freezing ice rink. I'm probably there if I'm not online.
I'm happy to be here and am really excited to see what this new community brings about.

Hi! My name is Stacey. I've been scrapbooking for almost 6 years, and "went digi" about 4 years ago. I also love photography. I'm a Canon girl. My baby is a Canon EOS 20D. I love taking photos and then building scrapbook pages around them.
I've been married to my husband Bill for 16 years this June. We have three boys - Andrew, Adam and Austin. I'm sure you'll get to know them by the photos and layouts I'll be posting in my gallery.
I am so excited to be a part of this brand new community. I look forward to making new friends and becoming a better digi-scrapper and photographer :)

Welcome Ladies! My name is Kryss and I live in Michigan with my husband James of 8 years and my 2 wonderful children..Greg who is 15 and Natasha who is 5.
I've been digital scrapbooking for almost 4 years now and designing for one.
I am a heritage scrapping addict! I love all things of yesterday. My mother and I are in the process of getting together ALL of our family photos and documents so I can scrap them. You will see my love of heritage in my kits as well.
I read almost every night (usually get a whole paragraph in before I fall asleep). I am a Sci Fi addict. I am a gamer...mostly RPG's. You'll find me curled up with my husband on Sunday nights watching Battlestar.
I am so looking forward to being part of such a new and inspiring project!

01-17-2007, 02:42 PM
hello all!
I am Christine Haskell, I live in Nevada with my husband of six yrs and my 2.5 yr old son, who is my main scrapping subject. I have been digi-scrapping since the fall of '05, I did very little paper scrapping before that, it was just TOO SLOW for me. LOL But I really love the look of paper scrapping, I think that is closest to my "style". I have been an artist all of my life, mainly painting, but my wacom pen has taken my paint brush's place (well, most of the time!)
I am so excited to be here as a part of the team and a part of the community to learn and grow and create new friendships. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do!!!

Howdy
I'm Stephanie and I live in Central Arkansas. I've been married for 5.5years and have a little girl who will be turing 1 in Feb. We are expecting baby #2 in Late July or Early August! I started scrapbooking when I got married and have several albums. I finally crossed over to the digi world last October and am in love with it! I've always liked pictures, and I know I have a lot to learn about photography, but one day I would like to be a photographer. I'm studing through NYIP (which is film based, but they send a digi lesson each unit) and I own a Canon 30D. My next big purchace is some good lighting....(when I find a place to put it all) I still need to read on lighting.....
Anyway. I'm THRILLED to be here and am very excited about what is to come!

01-17-2007, 09:57 PM
Hi Everyone!
I'm Birgit, some of you may know me as Phos4us. I live in Phoenix, AZ, with my husband of 2 years and our 15 month old twins, Max and Anna.
I have always been into arts and crafts and BT (before twins) I was always creating something. When the twins were born all such activities came to a sudden halt, but once their sleep pattern settled in a little bit, I wanted to take up scrapbooking again to make them baby books from the hundreds and hundreds of photos I had.
But it wasn't going to happen with not having a seperate room that I could just close off. Having to drag everything out and put it away again, so little hands wouldn't get into it wasn't an option. That's how I found digital scrapbooking and it became an instant passion and by now probably somewhat of an "addiction" !
I am beyond thrilled to be part of this venture and can't wait for all the learning we can achieve here at the Guild, the friendships we can forge and the scrapping we can get done ;)

Hello everyone, I'm Debb...in times past I have also been known as "Keeplearning." I'm a mom to three boys and the wife to the most fantastic, loving and supportive husband! I have been a crafter just about all of my life and have dabbled in so many different types of art forms. I was a paper scrapper for over ten years and have been digi-scrapping for almost three years now (gosh time flies!!).
Scrapbooking is so many different things to me...a way for me to display my photos (I LOVE photography!!), a way for me to preserve my families history (I ADORE my family!! :) ) and a way for me to express myself creatively. The world is so filled with beauty and amazing people, places and events and my scrapbooking is a way for me to share with others what I see, how I think, what I feel. Digital scrapbooking has so much potential and I think it will be an ever-evolving art form....I'm so thrilled to be part of it all!

I am so blessed to be here with this talented group of women!!!!!! I am a 45 year old SAHM of 3 children. My oldest DS is 17 and he is just driving, my youngest Ds of 13 months is just learning to walk! He is a surprise blessing:confused: from God! My middle is 11 and she is morphing into a teen!
I am a new designer and I was contacted by Debb when I was in the SA apprentice contest. I made it to the final round- which surprised me! lol
Anyway, I have always done some sort of art work and the last few years it has been mainly altered art. I love the freedom of it! Anyway , once I discovered Digital Art Quirks I was hooked on creating art digitally. It worked out great having a little one, I could hold him and create too!
Anyway, welcome!!!!!!! Make yourself at home- I hope you will consider it home anyway ! I do because of how kind and warm everyone is!
hugs, Lisa

Hi! I'm Maggie from the Texas Gulf Coast and I have been digiscrapping since the summer of 2005. I never was a paper scrapper because I didn't want to get into a hobby that had all that "stuff". I'm too much of a packrat as it is.
I got into scrapping (yes, Debb I'm telling my tale again  ) after my youngest sister passed away from breast cancer. My niece was 4 1/2 at the time and my sister had a list of things she wanted Audrey to know about "Mommy". Well, I finally finished enough of the Mommy book to give it to Audrey last Easter.
I'm also into family history and am wanting to preserve other family memories, not just for Audrey, but for anyone else in the family that might be interested.
I have a Canon 300D Rebel - one of the first DSLR cameras for the masses and I love it. I'm currently taking a Better Photo class to get out of the comfort "green" zone and looking at the NYIP digital photography course.

Hi Ladies, I'm Wendy from the land down under (Aussie) and currently residing in beautiful New Zealand. I'm 45yr, empty nester. I have 2 sons
(24,25) youngest married with NO grandbabies on the horizon :( :(
I found digiscrapping after moving to NZ 2 yrs ago. I missed my family & friends so much that I needed to keep them in my life somehow. This was perfect!
I work fulltime as a National Logistics Manager for a major retail chain which is pretty full on. I used to be quilter but havnt touched a needle since I started scrapping. It has opend a whole creative world for me and given me a more appreciative eye to my surroundings, life and loves.
It allows so many forms of expression and it is truely forgiving (love that undo button;) ). I have so much more to learn and I'm looking forward to taking some classes here to help stretch me.
I want to wish the entire team here the best of luck, I know this site will be a huge success with so many talented ladies.:D
wooohooo Deb its so exciting see someone you have admired , take that next huge leap forward, you go girl.....best wishes..

You are hands-down one of the best freestyle layout artists around...and you have that certain knack for creating layouts that catch publishers' eye...just how many layouts have you had published anyway? ;) :D
I'm so thrilled you are here!! Big 'down-under' hugs are coming your way.

Hi everyone! My name is Kara and I'm addicted to scrapping and coke. coke being the coca cola kind, and not the other. ;) I'm married to the world's most wonderful man (seriously ladies...I know everyone *thinks* that, but if you only knew...) I never scrapped a single page until July. I got into scrapping because I want to make a scrapbook about my son, Joey. For those of you who don't know, he lived just shy of 2 months, from August 14-October 12 2005. He was our first, and we want his future little brothers and sisters to know him. The disease he had is not genetic and very rare (1 in 200,000) so we're trying again. Hopefully 2007 will bring me a new little inspiration.
Ummm...I also teach highschool Chemistry and live somewhere in the depths of California. Debb is one of the very first people who encouraged and inspired me on my digi-scrapping journey, and if it weren't for her, I'd probably not be scrapping now. Thank you Debb!

Kara - I admire your strength and courage. I too got into digiscrapping to honor and memorialize someone - my sister for my niece. I've seen some of your layouts and they are beautiful yet poignant.
And I'm a chemist by trade.

Maggie, I NEVER knew that you were a chemist! WAY cool! I majored in it planning on going into Medicine (I might still someday). I never intended to be a teacher, that was something God surprised me with after a year in Europe. But I'm loving it right now, for the most part. ;)
I'm also sorry for your loss. I know its not easy. I'm so happy that you have been scrapping these pages for Audrey. She will appreciate it!
hugs to you!!!

Oh Kara.....I am sending you such big hugs!! Welcome, welcome my friend!! I am so happy you found us!! I have missed you very much!! Your words brought a tear to my eye. The beautiful and courageous story you have shared on your scrapbook pages about Joey are an amazing testimony to the power of God's love to see us through even the most heartrending situations. The dignity and beauty and grace that are revealed in those layout are such a powerful witness to the sanctity and beauty of life, no matter how tiny or how brief. Your faith and your ability to continue to praise the Lord, even in the midst of such pain has been such a huge inspiration to me. Whenever I think of Paul's' soaring passage in Romans 8 about the fact that nothing can separate us from the love of God, your story always comes to my mind. I wonder if you know how the power of your story has strengthened my own faith?
I will be praying that this is going to be an amazingly blessed year for you. Oh what joy it will be if we all get to celebrate new life with you.
I'm so blessed by your presence here....more than blessed.....in fact.........
I'M DOING A HAPPY DANCE ALL OVER MY DESK!!!!!:D :D :D

Hi, I'm Polly :D Well, that is part of my nickname from childhood. My given name is Jana.
I started buying kits around July of 06. After admiring them for a while on my HD. I started scrapping about a month later. I've been hanging around the same guy for almost 31 years. We are empty nesters. Just got my first digital camera for Christmas. My subjects are my three grown children ,three precious grand daughters and host of family and friends. There is so much I need to learn about scrapping. I've been using Paint Shop Pro for a number of years ( up to version 9 now). However for my big 50  I have been thinking about getting PSE 5. So there will be even more questions from me.
Looking forward to meeting everyone

I guess I posted this to the wrong section (lerkers come out)LOL.
My name is Fran I live in San Jose, CA. I've been married to my husband this May for 6 yrs. I always tease him and say it should have been 7.....he couldn't make up his mind and dragged his feet for a year. Between the two of us we have 5 children, 31, 28, 25, 24 and the youngest 19, who is away at a music and acting conservitory pursuing his dream of singing and acting on stage.
I started paper scrapping about 2 years ago. I started because I wanted to surprise my son with an album for his birthday encompassing all the plays he had been in since his Freshman year. He was a Junior at the time....I look back at some of the stuff now and want to do it all over.
I started digiscrapping last Summer and fell completely in love with it, no mess to clean up and if you make a little bit of a boo boo cropping....just redo and you have the perfect page....
I'm at a point right now I want to learn about page composition, choosing the right combination of colors and putting together a well balanced layout that I can be proud of.
My other goal is to learn to take better pictures to use in my layouts....I guess there is always room for growth!
Anyway, I happened on to this site when Deb told me where she got the kit for the wonderful layout she did and posted to another site....glad she directed me this way...
Hoping to become a part of a wonderful group of people and hope to learn and grow along the way....
Frani :>)
P.S. Still working on that project for my son....have one more play to go and he's done....

Hello everyone my name is Stephani (Sempson). I just turned 32 in December. I am single and currently living in Laramie Wyoming but my heart will always call Texas home. I lived in Texas for 21 wonderful years of my life with my family, which includes my mom, my dad, and my younger sister. We all moved to the mountains of Wyoming in 1996 for my Dad who is surviving with Multiple Sclerosis which he was diagnosed with in 1989. My sister Emily and I both attended the University of Wyoming here in Laramie. I still have two years to complete to attain my BA in Secondary Education English/Theater. She graduated in 2000 with a degree in Business Mgmt. She is now living in Ft. Collins Colorado and works for CTX. My parents live in the small town of Cokeville Wyoming, which boasts a population of 501. My Dad is medically retired from Lockheed Martin where he was an engineer for 10+ years. My Mom is the children’s librarian at the library in Cokeville, which she absolutely loves.
I found out about the wonderful world of digital scrap booking actually from my Mom. She went on the Internet to find elements for a calendar she was doing for my grandfather and happened upon several digital scrap booking sites. She was totally enthralled and while I was home for Christmas that year showed me exactly what digital scrapbooking was all about. On Tuesday January 25, 2005 I posted my very first digital layout. I have been addicted ever since. I did try my hand a paper scrapping and completed exactly one album and then went 100% digital. LOL! It is so much more then a hobby to me. It is something that I share with my mom and it is a wonderful creative outlet for me to express myself.

Hello!
I am Kendra, from Western Ohio. I have a wonderful husband, Bob, and two beautiful children, Morgan (12) and Aidan (6). Our home also boasts a beautiful mixed breed dog, Zanmi (Haitian-Creole for "friend"), a wonderful lap-kitty (well, if she feels like it :) ) named Tasha, and a guinea pig named Sundae.
My son was recently diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome, which causes tics that are sometimes uncontrollable. We are learning how to control his tics with dietary changes, and it is working very well so far. Of course, prayer is helping too!
Which brings me to another facet of me - I call myself a Woman of God. While I have a lot of room for improvement yet in studying His Word, I went on an "Emmaus Walk" last summer, which truly deepened my love for my Lord, and showed me how deep His love is for me.
By trade, I started my career as a computer programmer. After 6 years, I decided a change was in order, and became a Teacher. I taught third grade for four years, and am currently in my fourth year of teaching Kindergarten.
I also play the viola (a step lower than a violin) in a local string quartet, which performs at weddings and dinners.
Want to know something wierd about me? I DON'T like chocolate! But I AM a candy-holic! My scrapping snacks of choice are Smarties, Skittles, or candy hearts!
I am so looking forward to being a part of this wonderful site! :)

Hi, my name is Mimi2six, or Sammie. My husband and I have been married for 29 years. I have four children and six grandchildren. I am an emptynester, boo hoo and a cancer survivor, YEAH!!! I have always been artsy or creative and it was in the extreme boredom of being an empty nester, healing from one surgery or another that I found digital scrapping. I spent months and I mean months, looking at sites and trying to figure out if I could do this thing called digital scrapbooking. I am a newbie who figured out that she could indeed do this and have quickly become addicted to the art. I'm really excited about finding this site and hope to grow with it.

Hello ALL. My Name is Heather I live in Maine and I am engaged to a truely wonderful man who gave me the very best gift ever, The Knowledge of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. I have 2 wonderful children Taylor 11 who is a veery sensitive and loving boy, and Ariel 8 (going on 25) She is loving too and quite the little princess.
I have been doing crafts of some sort ALL my life. I started paper scraping about 2.5 years ago. I didn't do to many pages because with the extremely limited budget it just was not happening. I tend to do altered note books and clipboards more with the supplies I have left now. I got into Digi scrapbooking about a year ago and I am hooked. I love the affordability of it and I can S-T-R-E-T-C-H the kits out so much it is a life saver for me. Plus I can print things out for my altered art things abd greeting cards I make. My dream is to be a designer.
I am so very glad to be here with such an AWESOME group of women, and it is so heart warming to find so many people who love the Lord as I do. I hope to learn alot from every one here and to make many new friends
I never introduced myself! :)
Hi all! I'm Rachel (30) and I have been married to the love of my life, Doug, for a little over 4 years. We have a wonderful little girl named Madeline who was born last May - where does the time go? Madeline, or Maddie, is definitely my inspiration and it has been fun to look at earlier LOs in comparison to later ones to see how much she has grown. I'm sure you will see plenty of her as she is the subject in 99.9% of my LOs! lol
I never really paper scrapped - I tried once but was frustrated with all the mess. :) I discovered digiscrapping last June while on maternity leave and was hooked fast! I do work full time as a New Home Counselor for a home builder - basically a fancy title for a sales rep/Realtor.
I am so pleased to be here. Debb was always so very supportive and I missed "seeing" her around. Now that I know what she was up to - all is forgiven! ;)

I just recently found your site and wanted to stop by and say hello after registering. I haven't had the chance to look all around but hopefully I will get to that soon.
My husband and I have been living in Hungary the past 5-1/2 yrs but we are from southern CA. Our youngest daughter just graduated high school last year and moved back to the states to go to college. You can imagine how much we miss her!! We have two other daughters, 30 yrs and 28 yrs. old. No grandchildren yet but I am praying fervently LOL!!

I see a lot of familiar and friendly names here! It's Old Home Week! Hi ya'll!
My name is SuZ (emphasis on the Z) so as not to confuse with other Sues, Susies and Susans. I got my username from a Jr. High teacher who had too many Sues in her class, she switched the first letter of my last (maiden) name with the first letter of my first name = hoozie. I later added the g (married last name) because some "guy" used hoozie on another site.
I'm about to be 54 AND an empty nester. My one and only daughter turned 18 in December and is going to college probably far, far away next fall. She's got Oregon, New York or Vermont in her sights. What's wrong with the good old Rocky Mountains? I've been married for 31 years this May to my high school sweetheart and we're not sure we'll know what to do with ourselves when she goes....
I grew up in Colorado and moved to Montana only 5 years ago. We love it here. Peaceful, clean, quiet and beautiful! But the house is full and dirty...it's time to move again! ;)
I started paper scrapping about 10 years ago and became a collector of supplies more than a scrapper really. I only made 50 pages or so over the years. The summer of 2005 I thought, I'm going to figure out how to do this digitally and get these thousands of pictures scrapped somehow! Then I did a Google search for digital scrapbooking and came across tons of sites. I was instantly hooked. It's so much fun to be able to move stuff around, delete and redo to get it just right. No more icky layouts that didn't turn out, but are glued down permanently beyond repair! Yea!
Debb, here's wishing you the best of luck in your new endeavor. I'm sure this will grow in leaps and bounds. Congratulations!

Welcome ladies!!!!!!!!!!!:D
Welcome Heather, Margie, SuZ,and Rachel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!! So happy to meet all y'all! :) I love reading about each of you!
Heather - isn't it great to have a place to share your love of the Lord!!!!!!! This place rocks!!! I am so happy to be able to put Christian things in my designs! Glad you joined us!
Margie-Hungary to Ca- what a move!!!!!! I have to say I was looking forward to my teens leaving the nest! ;) But the Lord thought I needed another one at 45 - so I won't be having the empty nest syndrome - which is funny! I know God has a sense of humor!
Rachel- cool avatar! I am a relatively new digi scrapper - I too started when I had Ben 14 months ago. I was able to nurse him and create at the same time. I really got hooked when I found out I could do my art digitally! Glad you found us!
SuZ- I got a chuckle- I too am one of those scrapbook supply collectors!!!! Have it all- just could not get to it all! I lost my scraproom when Ben came along and now it is all under the stairs . Montana sounds lovely - but cold! lol
I think the pictures are beautiful! Happy to have you here!
Welcome and check everything out! Lisa

Hi! I'm Carol from Tennessee. I just stumbled across this site a couple of days ago and saw all the familiar names/faces. I am 55 years old; I think that's considered a senior citizen in some circles!  I have two grown children, both married (but one of those marriages is in deep trouble) and one beautiful granddaughter, whom I don't get to see often enough. I started digiscrapping about a year and a half ago - coincides with the birth of DGD. I've never paper scrapped - don't need any more stuff lying around here!! I'm glad to have found you all, and I hope I can contribute something to this community.

Hello!
Kara Beara showed me this site and it looks fabulous so far! I'm Ally, I'm 29, and Kara says to say I've never scrapped digitally before and I am interested in hearing what the best programs are and in learning how to do it period. LOL.
So yeah, I live in Canada, I've got far too many children, and they drive me nuts. LOL. But I love them anyway. I suppose. ;)

Yes everyone, meet my friend Ally. She told me that she wanted to learn how to scrapbook. So I pointed her here. ;) We'll work on which program to use next.

Geez! I've made 30 odd posts and haven't even introduced myself! How rude ;) Well, I'm JoAnn, 42, SAHM to Katie (6) and Rachel (4). Katie is freakishly gifted and Rachel is freakishly rowdy.
In my "former" life I was a 3rd grade teacher. I've been married to Michael for 13years and live in Central Ohio. I've been digi scrapping for a year or so. I could never find the time to paper scrap, but digi fits my life perfectly!
I'm really glad I found my way here!

Hi - I'm Gabby aka Karen - and I've been lurking here for a bit. I was introduce to this site by MommySpice/Kara - and I like the friendliness :).
Anyway - I've only been digitally scrapping since the end of January....but it feels like I have done it forever, and I love it lots. I'm trying to get better at scrapping and picture taking.
I live in OC in Sunny CA and I love to read, sing, write and play with the kiddies....including my dog and my cat :). I've been married to my DH for 3 1/2 years. ummmm....that's it for now I think :D
Welcome Gail and Karen! We are so pleased to have you!!! :D

I just found this thread today- I have been here awhile, just dove right into classes (which are INCREDIBLE, BTW!)- so guess I should introduce myself too! My name is Sandi and I have been digiscrapping about a year and a half, really a lot since last summer. I love it here, everyone is so friendly- and did I mention I LOVE the classes??? LOL. I am a SAHM of three teens, have a degree in speech pathology, love all kinds of crafts, sewing, quilting, and I taught porcelain dollmaking for several years. Vanillalatte (LaDonna) is responsible for bringing me here :) - I am happy to see so many other familiar names here too. (Hi Gail!)

hi all, I'm sooo excited to found this site (big fan of Debb's work, and was wondering where she disappeared to) my name is Gabby - I'm a Working mum who wishes she had more time to scrap and probably spends to much time looking at other LOs instead of creating my own!! I'm off to look around the site now and waiting impatiently till pay day so I can get the full membership!!!
Welcome Gabby! We're so happy to have you!
