Okay Donna's thread about having time to scrap made me think of this question. Do you consider yourself a "fast" scrapper, meaning you can put a dynamite page together in less than an hour? Or are you medium or slow?
And what would you consider fast, medium and slow?
Here are my thoughts:
Fast is a layout in less than an hour
Medium is a layout that takes at least 2 hours (or between 1 and 2)
and Slow is a layout that takes over 2 hours...which I certainly lean toward :)
What about y'all??

I'm all about getting it done. I don't have time to wait. I've behind and have a baby on the way! So I've got to get caught up. Until I had selah, I went on a scrapbook retreat twice a year (before going digital) and I would leave with every photo I brought scrapped. I'd get the main album current, plus a vacation album or a gift album. Occasionally I will take longer.

I still tend to be slow, although sometimes I can make it in 1-2 hours. I don't know that I will ever consider myself fast, even using PIAP's. I still have to look and think and look...

It depends - sometimes it just all happens and I am all done in anything from 30 min - 1 hr. Other times it goes on for a while, but I hardly EVER manage to go to bed until a LO is done. So usually I do finish my LOs within the day/evening. For the most part I probably average somewhere in the medium range - not that I ever get 1-2 uninterupted hours lol

Fast. Usually most are finished in about 30 minutes. But, I have also had a few faster and others slower. Depends on the "kid status". ;)

I normally finish within a day, but its usually longer than an hour. The exception is for contests...then it takes longer. :) gotta let it sit overnight!

Christie - I think you must qualify as SUPER SPEED! You crank out the most AMAZING layouts and at such a rapid pace! I wanna be like you! :)
I'd say I'm medium. I do a lot of layouts in under an hour...but there are a number that take me much longer...so on average I'd say medium but leaning towards fast. It depends on my frame of mind. If I'm in the right mood, I sit down and BAM! If I'm not, I fiddle and fiddle and fiddle and still put the layout away dissatisified!

I usually spend between an hour and 2 on a layout counting the many distractions that I have while scrapping.

Man! I am slow... slow... SLOW! Best guess ... it usually takes me about 2 days (about 4 hrs ea day)! :o :o
Were any of you who are fast ever slow ... in other words has your speed increased over time? Goodness I hope so! Also for those of you who are fast ... do you often change colors of premade elements and manipulate things? Play with blend modes of layers, make some things yourself? I'm obsessive of about tweaking everything to suit my own purposes and I think that is really slowing me down. Course now you are going to say that you do all those things too and can still get a LO done in a hour! ::sigh:: I'm so SLOW! :)

I'll say slow....it takes me forever to figure out which kit to use and how I want it all laid out.....

i've had different seasons of speed. i've been a slow scrapper, while i was on the Digital Elite Team, i was scrapping so much that i became a medium scrapper.
for the last several months, i've generally gone back to being a slow scrapper. i've really enjoyed savoring, lingering over my different layouts.

okay, i have been thinking about this...i *think* i am a meduim scrapper...if i scraplift, then i am faster than if i creat a LO from scratch :)

I used to be extremely slow, but now I consider myself to be medium. I have learned lots of new tricks and tips over the years that have helped speed along the process, but I am still not fast, mainly because I go back and change things alot. I usually finish a layout in an hour or two, and in one sitting. It just depends on how the creative juices are flowing.
Another thing that has helped speed the process is my new love of templates, which really takes most of the guess work out of the layouts. I don't always use them, but they are fun and quick! :)

I am all rates! Sometimes I can finish a layout in under an hour and love it! Other times I could be here at the computer for two hours or more fussing over the smallest detail! lol

Im on average a medium, but it really does depend on how important the LO is. I tend to fiddle a lot with something that I want to be perfect for a special album, gift or competition but generally I do finish LO in one session .... some of the best ones tend to be the ones were I dont over think them...LOL should do that more often, turn of the brain and just follow the instincts....definately got quicker as I got more LO's under the belt....

I consider myself a slow scrapper ( is that a bad thing?) I like to take my time and make sure that everything looks just right...on the other hand, give me a deadline and I'm sure to get them done!

Definitely slow! Like Kim, I like to play with stuff, change stuff, rearrange stuff ... That said, I scraplift quite often, but I don't think that has made me any faster yet!

It use to take me days - then I got it down to hours, but now it's about 1-2 hours, sometimes less.... I am trying to be less picky about my work - I am a born perfectionist and trying to overcome that...
I used to make such detailed pages, and now I am trying to make my LOs less cluttered!

I'd have to say I'm a slow poke. Most layouts take me days and I spend a few hours on them. Call me a perfectionist sometimes. I want to get it "just right".

Usually I put alot of time into my layouts. I have to have everything just right. Some layouts take me less than an hour. Some take me all day. I guess it just depends on the ease of use of the kit and the photos/theme I am trying to do.

Oh my goodness, I just registered here and all of a sudden I think I scrap backwards compared to you guys, lol! I am a newbie, a real newbie. I have only scrapped a total of 9 LO's working on my 10th. It takes me about a week to complete a LO. That's because I spend about five days looking at websites for inspiration before I even begin. The funny thing is, it took me about 7 or 8 months after I registered at a site before I made my first LO. Again, it was because I spent that time looking. I've not scraplifted anything yet so I don't know why I take so much time to look. On Friday I posted a LO at another site that took me about 2 days to complete. I was excited about the completion time, thinking I was smoking, you know, moving fast. Now I'm starting to think that compared to you guys I scrap backwards. Not good.
Is it too much to hope that maybe, just maybe I could complete a LO in say, umm 5 or 6 hours? (LOL)

I think I am a slow srapper. Partly because my computer is a little slow and partl because I to am a profectionist. I never think they are good enough

I am a big time "Slow Poke"...seems like even when it's just all coming together it takes forever and I don't have the excuse of little ones interrupting me!!! And Kara, if its a contest...oh my!!!

I'm a pretty slow scrapper. Even uninterrupted, it can take me two hours or more to do a page. I usually get the basic page done in about 20 or 30 minutes, but then I putz with elements, journaling, word art, etc. The one I did today took me about 3 hours because I wasn't happy with the balance. I kept trying to add or take away until I was satisfied. :)

I think I 'm medium. I usually tinker, add stuff, take it away, put it back...wait, maybe I'm slow ;)

Well, I spent most of the day on one layout for one of my design classes today - it was a negative space layout. I was trying for freestyle, but it's more negative space. Freestyle is a style that I think I'm going to have a lot of trouble with - it looks so easy but so hard to pull off.
