Oh foo, I forgot - and it wouldn't have mattered cuz DH was using the computer to do taxes. Unfortunately, taxes get priority over chats. Bummer.

Have you seen that commercial with the guy who asks the lady what time it is and she freaks out on him? Makes me laugh and stresses me out all at the same time. lol Getting my taxes done this week. :) (Latest EVER)

I usually wait until the last minute, too. But this year, when I realized how much I'd be getting back, I got those babies done early! Woohoo! Good luck to you guys! :)

We put off taxes because of other more immediate issues - like dh's work or drama with teenagers or ... Plus, we knew they were going to be painful - medical deductions for the first time, and we hadn't been organized with receipts. (and no, this is not a good thing - just a symptom of the erosion of health insurance coverage over the past several years.)

So, we are doing them at the last moment AND we are getting a refund. But wait, we can't get our share of the "economic stimulus package" until we file the taxes!!! (I will not think about the extra cash.... I will not think about the extra cash....)

And it all makes me so frustrated. Banging my head against the wall is not the best way to cope with this, is it? I am making a spread sheet almost as I type this because I don't want to do this again ever. Charitable donations are annoying enough -argh - no wonder my dad was always a grumpy old man when it was tax time!!!!
