If you have just purchased this month's Guild Club Package, let me say, "WELCOME!" We are thrilled that you found us and have decided to join this special community.

Be sure and introduce yourself in the forum. We are a really friendly site and love the opportunity to make new digital friends!

Here are some commonly asked questions from new members:

Where do I find the link for this month's kit?
The link for this month's kit is located in the members only forum Look for the sub forum titled, "Get Your Guild Kit HERE".

Where do I find the link for this month's issue of the Artisan Notebook?
The link for this month's Artisan Notebook in located in the members only forum. Look for the sub forum titled, "The Artisan Notebook Download Link"

I paid by E-check why can't I access the forums?
Unfortunately there is a few days delay in being able to access the forum when you use an e-check to purchase a club package. As soon as the check clears you will be granted access. This usually takes 2-3 days.

Is the Gallery an 'open' gallery?

Yes, this is an open gallery and you may hotlink in the credits. We do hope that you would not use the gallery as a "drop and run" advertising stop and that you would help to develop a sense of community by commenting on other layouts.

If you have other questions, post them here.

Hi Kathy, see the brown band above? Click on "User CP" Once you are there, on the left hand side toward the bottom you will see "Paid Subscriptions" click on that and a screen will come up that offers Guild membership subscriptions and Artisan Notebook subscriptions. Click on the drop down arrow under Guild subscriptions, highlight the amount and click order. That will take you to the Paypal check out. Once you have purchased a membership you will be given access to the member's only forum where you can find the download links to the kit and the Artisan Notebook. If you run into any problems let me know.

Thanks for your information. I paid on May 26 for subscription, but was unable to download the May kit or view the magazine. Now, it is noted that I have the subscription, and I was able to download this month's fantastic, whimsical kit. I just sent a message regarding the magazine, but then came across this link. I am assuming that the magazine link is not available yet. To date no email has been sent to me here at the Guild nor my hotmail account. I checked my spam folder also. I would appreciate clarification of May's subscription, so that if I decide to extend my next subscription, I will make sure that it starts on the beginning of the month and not near the end of a month. Tell Stacy Stall that the last class at DSU that I took with her was just awesome. That was a while ago. On to familirize myself with the forum.

Welcome to the Guild Kathitownz and Grambie!!!

Glad to see that Debb's instructions worked for you Kathitownz.

Grambie, as far as the May info I will let Debb answer that, but for the June Artisan you should be able to download the notebook from the members only threads. There is a thread that is "The Artisan Notebook Download links" you should be able to get to the links there. Debb if I am incorrect plz let me know :D

But WELCOME ABOARD!!! This is a fun, awesome place to learn and be inspired, and we are all glad your here!!!

But I just wanted to say welcome!!! I hope you find the Guild a warm, friendly place like I have!

OK, not the end of the world, yet - but I cannot get the site to let me renew my guild membership. I don't get it, and it doesn't seem to get me. What do I do? When I click on the "Order Using PayPal" Button, I get to a page that basically says go back and do it again. Now, I'm pretty witless right now, but this is ridiculous! (How to keep a Linda busy - see other side. How to keep a Linda busy...)

So, ladies, HELP!!!!

As I said, not the end of the world. My fault for waiting til the end of the month to reup my membership so I can get the september kid and zine and goodies. But does it always have to involve pixel pixies? I mean really!!! Grr and argh - hate those pixies!!!

random question - why only the option for three months? Just curious.

Thanks for your help.

And no, I am not falling off the face of the earth - I have been BUSY with layout for a program book for football and cheering - ads, ads, more ads, rosters, highlights, team photos, and so much more! I HATE fundraising, and I am going wonky from scanning business cards, but I'm having a blast with PS, Illustrator, and I get to use InDesign too!! And it's all for charity so I don't get a paycheck. And it will go to the printer next week and I will be FREE again.

But I got a temp paying job too - it starts soon - yay for me!!!! And I'm so far behind on scrapping that I might actually catch up. And my dd who doesn't cheer anymore is in marching band and looks fantastic in her uniform!!! Just wait til I get some free time!!!

And the boys are taller and older and my eldest will be able to vote in November if he ever drags his butt to town hall and registers to vote!!!

God, I'm old.

Thanks all.

Linda

Hi Linda, don't worry we will get this worked out for you (and I'll make sure you get the September kit.) I will send you a pm to get this fixed.

We switched to a 3-month membership when there were all those problems earlier this year with some other subscription sites (to remain nameless) ;) :p The bad faith of other sites was leaving people suspicious of all subscription sites and people felt more comfortable just committing for 3-months versus a year.

Gosh, I had no idea! I feel out of the loop. I need to make it to a convention or something!!! Then I could actually get some real gossip. ;-)

So, I got the paypal link to work, and I'm just sitting here waiting - yeah, right, JUST sitting here - not likely!!!

In any case, I'll check in every so often to see what's up with my order and such. I'm expecting that at some point later this afternoon I'll be able to download stuff. No worries - not stressing at all now that I figured out what was going on.

Who knew that FireFox and PayPal weren't playing nicely with each other right now? Never had a problem before, but that was then and FireFox has gone thru umpteen zillion upgrades since then.

Thanks Debb, you rock!!

Time to get back to work and such!

Linda

I am going in circles. LOL How do I just renew with our registering all over again?
Thank you

You should be able to click on User CP on the brown bar above and then on the lower left side of the new page, click Paid Subscriptions. Hope that helps!

I am confused. LOL. I joined and it took about a week to get it activated. In fact I had forgot about it until I got the email today. What I am confused about is I don't remember if I just joined or paid to be a guild member. So I bought the guild membership today. Did I already pay for this the first time or did I just join without doing that???????

Barb - I'm sure that Debb will be around to check on your status for you, but I know that she was going to the Chargers football game today. You know those rabid football fans - they put it in front of scrapping even :D :D :D

Before I purchase, I have a question or two. I have dial up internet and was wondering, on average, how big the file size are for the magazine and kit, do you offer smaller files for those with dial up? How long are the links good for, is it just for the month or are they available as long as you are a member?

Hi Connie, the kits usually come in 4 to 6 zip files. I try to keep each file under 60MB. The magazine usually ranges from 30 to 70MB. If ever you have a problem with the size of a download I would be happy to split it up for you. The links for the kit and the magazine are available for the full month when they are offered. About 3 months after the initial release of a kit we do re-issue it as a Guild Encore kit and make it available for sale to the general public through our affiliate stores. We also sell individual issues of the magazine to the general public at all times (issues for sale through our affiliate stores).

I just joined. I was currious, were members prior to the server problem able to get past issues or kits?

Debb Cozzi
01-28-2011, 11:52 PM
No, we always just have the most current kit and issue available to current members. Of course if they have been a member for a long time they have received all of the kits for all of the month's that they were members. Does that make sense?
