Things like this NEVER happen to me!!!

OK, It's taken me all day to calm down enough to come here and tell you all this! First of all, let me just say, I've NEVER won a drawing or contest that's based on randomness. So imagine my surprise today when I got a call from one of the departments in my company telling me that I won....

A TRIP TO NYC!!!!!

THIS weekend!!!!

To see the LIVE EARTH concert!!!!!!!

AND...

TWO Zune media players!!!!!

Oh my goodness!!! I absolutely cannot believe I won! I got an email last week from a guy I work with....cool sweepstakes you can enter...employees only. I entered to win the Zune, never even thinking about winning a trip!

DH and I were packing the last of our stuff to take to Bismarck to my parents' house for the 4th of July holiday when my phone rang. I knew from the caller ID it was a work number, and all I could think of was "what went wrong ALREADY, I've only been gone an HOUR!" DH watched my face trying to figure out what was going on as this woman described the prize to me, apparently he couldn't tell if it was good or bad from my expression. When she was done, I calmly took the phone from my ear and said to him sweetly "Honey, do you want to go to New York this weekend?" LOL!!!

So anyway, I'm at my parents' house right now...they've arranged for us to fly out from here in Bismarck on Friday. We stay Friday and Saturday night at the Millenium Broadway (which is right on Time Square!!!!), concert starts Saturday at 2:00pm, then fly back on Sunday evening. It's going to be a whirlwind tour, but HOLY COW!!!!

As I said...THINGS LIKE THIS NEVER HAPPEN TO ME!!!!!

And you will have to tell me how you like the Zune. DH was going to get one for me, but he got me the SanDisc Sansa instead, because I thought the Zune was too big and bulky. He also read reviews that said Sansa was still better than Zune. However, he's still thinking of one for himself, and he still talks about the zune lovingly....*lol*

A Zune is what Microsoft has called the Ipod Killer. Its a music player...meant to take on the Ipod. :) So far the SanDisk Sansa is doing a better job of that though. I'm curious to see how "real people" like it. so far I dont' know anyone who has one. *lol*

We leave tomorrow morning, just confirmed our seats on the flights out! We fly out at 11:04am Central Time and arrive at JFK at 4:43pm. Our hotel is the Millenium Broadway and it's right on Time Square!!! :D :D :D

DH has forbidden me to take my laptop :) I don't blame him, but that means I won't be able to log on at all until we get back. Our flight home comes in at around 11 on Sunday night and we'll have to drive back to Fargo on Monday morning, so I'll be back in action on Monday evening.
