I've been running PSCS2 on my computer for about a year with no problems...so I know this isn't a RAM type of issue.
But a couple of weeks ago I started having a problem with Photoshop freezing when I start it. I can actually hear an audible click and then the whole computer freezes! I googled some research and found that it might be a problem with the preference file and that could be reset by holding down CTRL SHIFT ALT just as the program starts. Worked like a charm...no more problems until today it happened again.

And this time the fix doesn't work! I'm afraid to go in and start deleting stuff from the preference file - IF that's where the problem is.

Have any of you had this problem??? Any suggestions on how to fix it???
I'm going wonkers without my photoshop!!

Please HELP!!!

I notice my pse runs slower when I have a lot of files on teh computer. When I empty the trash bin, and such clean up some things, deleate old files, move pics to the EHD or CT it seems to work better. AFter I reboot the comp.

Linda - you have your program disk? Something may have corrupted and you may need to re-install PSCS2 - only thing I can think of right off.

ACK....yes I could delete and re-install. As soon as I can get Christopher off of his computer to come help me do a clean uninstall. I'm not real sure of the best way to do.......

Well, he just yelled at me from the other room and sorta told me how to do it.

There should be an Uninstall option from the Start menu for PSCS2.

Linda, try to insert your cd and run the repair option instead of reinstalling so that you will not lose everything. Hope that fixes it! Have had to do that a couple of times. hugs
