Well ladies....I've got 6 weeks left...or less.

Anyone wanna start a 'betting pool'?
Ha HA

This week we are kicking into high gear. I'll still be here checking email and such...and doing layouts occasionally...but you might not see me on hello or anything.

Here are our 'plans' for the week

Today--normal house cleaning. I might start going through Selahs baby baby clothes and sorting them. Then after supper, dh and i are going to get paint. I might call mom and she might meet us there.

Tomorrow--We are painting the girls room. (Yes, I'm going to get a mask)

Wednesday--I go to dr.

And that's about as far as i have gotten.
BUT Mom and I have to go get fabric for the curtins in the girls room. We had Selahs bedding custom made, and the bumper pad well....STINKS. So we ordered a fushia gingim bumper pad and blanket (and ordered selahs bed last night!!!) We will put the bumper pad (which will match a fabric in the bedding) on the crib and taking the old bumper pad and making pillows and such for Selahs new bed. So it will all be mixed and matched.

FIL has to come by sometime and look at the girls closet and write down measurements for the shelves I want him to make. So hopefully he'll come by tomorrow or Wednesday.

My uncle/aunt has to come by and pick up the dresser that's in selahs room to put in my cousins room. It goes w/ the rest of the bedroom suit that i gave her last year.

SIGH!!!!

Seems like alot. All that plus more and a 16mo old running around...and trust me she LOVES to 'help'

I will say I think I'm more nervous about everthing this time around. I guess is about being in the hosptial away from Selah...and everything went' really well last time. I'm hoping for a encore. And what in the world am I going to do w/ two?

My biggest concern is how life will be when we have Zoe, and then mom and dh are back at work, and I'm home w/ both girls all by myself! Scary!
And you all with 2+ children know..."I love her so much how can i love them the same?" and I'm concerend about equal love/attention for both my children........But I know that things will work out....

anyway....I'm sure you are tired of my rambeling

Oh, did you see my ticker. Yeah, I've been feeling that way for Months now...it just gets progressively worse...but that is pretty much the only difficult thing of my pregnancy !

Yeah - no more dancing like Britney!!! LOL!

Steph - I think you will do fine!!! You are such a good mom to Selah and have so much love to share! Yes, Zoe is going to need a lot of attention at first and Selah will be learning to share Mommy, but I'm sure that you will come through it fine - because of that love and the support of your family.

And you always know where you can come to vent!!!

Signed Maggie - who knows nothing about raising babies except from having a baby sister 9 years younger!

Prayers for you, Stephanie! And though this is old, old advice, it's the way we have to think, "One day at a time..." Man, I cling to that promise along with, "God will never give us more than we can handle." Sending you great big cyber hugs and know you are in my prayers.

As far as LOVE--- I tell my kids...........when God gives you a new baby -- He gives you a whole new DOSE of LOVE..........for each one. Can't explain it.....it just happens...........YOU GROW........bc you have MORE LOVE! Kinda COOL!

You are definitely nesting bc your list makes ME tired! ROFLOL

We're rooting for you-- ( Better than a mask............just let dh do it-- and got to your moms!!! SERIOUSLY! :D )

Ok
Got the stuff to paint with. And am on cloud 9. My best friends who is preggo also and has been on bedrest since 30 weeks dueto pre clampcia just called.
Her blood pressure has been great and then all of a sudden today it just shot up sky high. She is almost 39 weeks....and they told her to go straight to L&D. SHE IS SOOOO EXCITED. Ok, not about the blood pressure, but more than likely, they'll take the baby. and she is sooo ready!

So I'm waiting for her call

Thanks for the build up.

DH is painting as I type. Selah is asleep...in our bed cause she can't sleep in her room. Her and I just got back from mom's. I needed my hair trimmed and shaped before my Shower on sunday....(although a lot of my friends are going to be out of town suddenly...my other best friends' uncle died and they are going to the funeral)

They sent my friend home at 9:30 tonight. She said she never even saw a Doctor, and they just called the on call, not her obgyn. They got her blood pressure undercontrol....I don't understand why they just didn't let her have the baby. She is almost 39 weeks, she has preclampsia and has been on bedrest since 30 weeks, AND they gave her teh steroid shot to develop the baby faster in case of premature delivery (no chance in that now!) so the baby is big....

I started sorting clothes...and its a job.
Anyway. Thats all for now though.

Woohooo !!! Getting into the end phase now!! As for your concerns ... yes, it 's going to be an adjustment and it won't always be easy handling two by yourself but you figure it out. I was quite worried about that aspect too and I had two that needed the same things at the same time - but you adapt and you will too!
And you are so organized my dear, you'll have lot's more tools than many an other overwhelmed mommy. The initial sleep deprivation will however be the same - sorry ... but this too shall pass!
You will become such an expert at multi- tasking ... even if you think you already are ... you'll take it up a notch, you'll see ;)

As for the love part ... a mother's love is not a given amout and then it needs to be devided up between however many children she might have. Amazingly enough you just get more ... it really does grow with every child you have. Selah will always be your first baby of course, but Zoe will be very special to you also ... each in their own way.

I think the biggest change you can expect down the line is that going out will be quite a bit more complicated (by yourself with two children). One can be taken almost anywhere with little problems ... with two you start to cart a LOT of stuff around. But again ... you'll adapt, you'll get organized (that really does help!!) and you'll be just fine :)

I've been sorting some clothes too today ... my "babies" were 20 month on the 20th and I was sorting through the 18-24 month stuff that is already way too short and was wondering what happened to my 5 lbs preemies and where was I when it happened lol

wow busy busy! you do have a lot to do ! and 6 weeks left ! I can't wait to see her first LO lol!

having 2,the boys are 20 months apart I was scared out of my mind but once it happened it was so easy for me and I had no help. But Ethan was such a high needs child that once aidan was born it was like he calmed down a bit!

and Love, wow it's true when they say your heart just grows and grows!

goodluck ! I can't wait till you have her :)

Well, Dh and i just got back from picking up another gallon of "Dancing Green" paint, he is going to put another coat on it as soon as we get finshed w/ lunch time. We also went to the grocery store.

My house looks like piles and plies of junk (and we know it isn't) is just thrown around. I'm pulling my hair out b/c is all cluttered.....and Its not going to get any better today i dont think

Mom and i are going to look for fabric either tonight or tomorrow. Not sure exactly...

Stephanie - sounds like you have gone into serious nesting mode - 6 weeks? Maybe not!!! Maybe I need to revise my prediction of August 4.

I'm just learning from the 'mistakes' of others.

A good friend of mine had a son that 2 weeks past due date. Then she was pregnant w/ son #2 and was building /moivng into a new home. One monday she talked about how she had 4 weeks left and would have every thing done in 4 weeks.

She had him two days later.

SO...I want to have everythign ready by the time I'm 37 weeks. I know that I could go to my due date, but I'd rather be safe than sorry! ESP with TWO!

Room is painted,
room is rearranged
clothes (selahs and zoes) are in new storage shelves in the closet

We only need:
the bedding to arrive
Selah's bed to arrive
Mom to make the curtians
FIL to make me some decorative shelves.

Now....my office/playroom is a disaster. So is everything else!

We are now working on cleaning up the playpin, stroller, baby seat ect...

We've done a lot today

Tomorrow I'm going w/ mom to pick out fabric to make curtians...then to Dillards to HOPEFULLY find somethign to bring Zoe home from the hospital in.

Oh we painted the girls room 'dancing green'
The colors of the room are really bright colors. Think Kryss's "Butterfly House" those are the colors. Bright Green, Pink, Orange and Yellow

DR's visit was great.

I waited an hour for him to say

Heartbeat is great, you look great, your weight is great, your bloodpressue is outstanding....see ya in 2 weeks!

So, in two weeks I go back...then every week after that till baby Zoe comes!

EEEEK!

5 WEEKS OR LESS

MY uterus is 1000x's it origial size? (see ticker) and only 35 days left!

The countdown has begun!

I had a tough day physically. I thing it's b/c I've done too much this past week. My back hurt, and so did my tummy and I'm starting to have random contractions. I'm READY to have the baby. OFFICALLY. I just want her to cook a bit longer for her health!

I had my shower today and it was really nice. I'll post photos later when I download them off my camera!

My friend had her baby saturday, and I got to hold him in the hospital. I'll probably do a sb page for her (ok and ME) using the boy kit....
