Every Sunday morning for years my father and I have been going to Tim Horton's for coffee. (Tea for me ;)) Since Connor will be home this Sunday, usually he is at his Dad's for the weekend, the three of us will go. Then when we come back here we have some gifts for him. Then he will go to visit the other grandkids. :D Connor will then head out to his dad's after they get back from their 'honeymoon.'

Neither my or Mark's father is alive any longer. So it will be a quiet day. If it's not pouring down rain, I will try to go put flowers on my father's grave. I was going to do it Memorial Day but it poured rain.

We'll have our son and DIL over...and Bob's going to have his first steak in 6 months! He wants to grill it so hopefully the weather will hold and the guys can do their grill bonding stuff while Dorene and I look at my latest layouts and talk digital design stuff :)

Then....we're going to celebrate CHRISTMAS!! Which of course we missed while Bob was in the hospital. His pancreas began to rupture while he was putting up the Christmas tree although we didn't know what was causing the excrutiating pain and vomiting until we got to the ER. The tree sat in the middle of our living room floor for 5 months with just the lights on it. (The kids took it down and cleaned up just before we got home last month).
So now it's time to wrap up the few gifts I bought them before everything happened, put on a Christmas CD and thank our Father that we're all together again!

It's so good to be home!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, LINDA!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, BOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am making Michael's favorite dinner on Sunday - lasagna. The sauce is in the crock pot for spaghetti tonight and the excess will keep til tomorrow night when I make it with uncooked noodles and put it in the fridge overnight.

He's pretty tired after church, so I think a day outside and napping will be the best present for him.

Not sure as of this moment. DH's family really don't do holidays. But mine does! However we have such a big weekend with my sisters recital tomorrow, and all. We will probably go to my grandparents for a few hours.

Normally my sisters and I drive up to the hospital where my dad works after evening church and see him, but he's changed jobs and hospitals since then. He use to be the nursing supervisor, but now he's just a ICU RN, and we were planning on going to see him Sunday evening, but he said today that they have two patients with this bacterial virus that he didn't want me coming up to 'contract'. We'll see him at the recital tomorrow, but we will have dinner next friday night.

Steph - your dad is right, you don't need to come in contact with any kind of bacterial infection at this point. My dad contracted MRSA - staph infection - while he was in ICU.
