Gallery Showcase: More than Words…thinking about Japan
I’m sure that all of us have been overwhelmed at times as we think about the recent events in Japan. The devastation from the earthquake and tsunami has been so massive it seems hard to comprehend. The ongoing fears generated by the situation with the nuclear power plant causes creeping anxieties and if one is not careful perhaps a certain hopelessness. When events like this happen it is sometimes difficult to put our feelings into words. With the following two layouts JeanH has expressed so much with just a few beautiful photographs and a few simple words.
The digial scrapping community is a global community. It brings together many people from all over the world. The Artisan Notebook is blessed with the friendship of two dear women who are part of our creative teams who live in Tokyo, Japan; Holly May Takatsuka and Beth Santos-Gugol. We are so thankful that they both made it through the earthquake safely but our mindful of the continuing difficulties that they face. They, along with all of the people of Japan are in our thoughts and prayers. Jean, thank you so much for creating such beautiful and thought-provoking layouts to remind us all of the events that have transpired.

These are so lovely and touching. The verses written are wonderful and the photos are full of Japanese beauty and hope. Thank you so much for your warm thoughts and prayers for us. Japan will be aching for quite some time to come. But knowing that so many others in the world are praying for us will be encouragement to face our challenges.
