Now that our gallery is an open gallery we have been blessed by the expanding artistry of those who are now posting. Of particular note have been the gallery postings by Guild guest Salamandre. The artistry of her layouts begin with wonderful photos and are extended through the use of effective blending and subtle decorative elements. In these layouts Salamandre shows us the power of a great photograph. When you have an exceptional photo don’t be shy about using the entire canvas of your layout to show it off. Here are a few more layouts posted by Salamandre:
For ongoing inspiration we will certainly be keeping an eye on Salamandre’s Gallery!

This woman needs to be courted.
Her work is exquisite, and therefore qualifies to be promoted at DSAG! She may be worth a trip to France so I can shadow her for a week and find out how she makes these magical images/LOs.
In addition to be a wonderful and talented artist, she is as well a wonderful woman.
You are doind an awseome job salamandre, keep you juice flowing, and show us more, more more of those magical LO.

I love love love Muriel’s work!!!
She is on my Creative team and I shared this link with her. Her English is limited and she asked me to respond. She said she was very very honored to be recognized for her work. (She is always so very humble about the work she does). Muriel says when she starts a layout with blending papers she feels a real excitment. She doesn’t feel that way as much when she does ‘normal’ layouts as she calls them. I have asked her to write a tutorial on how she blends but she said it is nearly impossible to do since her technique varies everytime. She did say you have to start with an exceptional photo. She uses layers and layers of the photo, paper and then uses brushes and erasers..
I’ve never met anyone quite as talented at blended as Muriel!!!!!

I love blending. I agree with Shar, it would be great to go to France and follow her around. Taking the trip to France would be awesome in itself and then to be able to learn from one so talented would be double the pleasure. Opening the Gallery was a very good idea, we will all benefit from it. Thanks.
Wowwww! Absolutely stunning, exceptional work!! I can truly say, I’ve never seen blending as good as this! Apart from absolutely fantastic photos, please, please, please Muriel, what is your secret????
I’ve been drawn to her work for a long time – it’s truly amazing!
