In conjunction with the April 2011 issue of the Artisan Notebook we are issuing these fun, creative challenges. These challenges are intended to inspire you in your scrapbook artistry and give you fun new ideas for very special scrapbook pages. We hope you will take up one or more of these challenges and share your inspiration with others who visit our site. Please feel free to post your layouts in our challenge gallery.

Inspiration Station Challenge:

In the April issue of the Artisan Notebook ™ our Inspiration Station article featured layouts that celebrate the seasons of spring and fall. Here is a peek at just a few of those featured layouts:

Your challenge is to use the inspiration of these layouts to create a layout that celebrates either spring or fall.

Scraplift Challenge:

In every issue of the Artisan Notebook we include a feature titled, “Scraplift Tag.” With this feature a member of our tag-team selects an exceptional layout to scraplift. Then, each member of the team creates a layout based on the selected layout and explains some of the design principles or ideas they used in creating their own layouts. Recipe for Design Challenge:

In each issue of the Artisan Notebook ™ our featured article, “Recipe for Design” puts together a specific design recipe that our “design chefs” use to create wonderfully creative and inspirational layouts. Here is a look at this month’s recipe:

In each issue of the Artisan Notebook ™ our featured article “Just Write” provides a journaling prompt for our just write team to create their own inspired layouts. Here is this month’s prompt:

Making Headlines Challenge:

Each month in the Artisan Notebook ™ our “Making Headlines” feature takes a look at different ways to create unique and distictive titles for our scrapbook layouts. This month our copy editors we given this title challenge:

Pigment of Your Imagination Challenge:

In each issue of the Artisan Notebook ™ our featured article “Pigment of Your Imagination” looks at unique ways to use color in your layouts. This is a look at the way they featured color in the April issue:

Our challenge to you is to create either a spring layout using the colors of pink, aqua, lavender, yellow and green and the unexpected color of fall: orange. If you make a fall layout, include the colors orange, red, plum, magenta and brown and the unexpected color of spring: aqua.
